    Since May 1, I’m down 20 lbs and one dress size. 
    I’m completely off my reflux medication. My back pain has improved exponentially.
    I’m very excited about my results. I hit my goals and then some!

    Yay! Congratulations! So great that you came back and finished this after your struggles first time around. I hope that you continue on a good journey going forward with post-Whole30 eating/living (and let me know if you come up with a good alternative to eggs for breakfast! so sick of them myself...).

    Day 27
    I'm out of eggs so I had chicken breast and Brussels sprouts for breakfast. 
    Also I was looking at old photos and I’m amazed at how much thinner my face looks. Look at this!

    I love that your weight loss goals are reasonable. So many people expect to lose tons of weight right away and expect to hit like 120 lbs.
    Personally I’m 308 lbs at last check (in the hospital). I’m hoping to lose 150 lbs total, to hit 150 at 5’4” which is still slightly overweight. But I’d accept and be happy with even 200 lbs. I’m not weighing myself at all, but my clothes already fit better.
    Legumes are also first on my list for reintroduction!

    Congrats! I finished mine a few days after yours, but I am tacking on 15-30 more days. Realized I have an out of town family reunion on day 52 so I am torn. I really don't want to deal with my husbands family nagging all weekend, but I would really like to say I did 60. If you are feeling better and your next round will be successful too!

    I took a sip of beer a week or two in. Someone offered and I forgot for a second. I was so pissed I’d have to start over -and I was having a really hard time with the program- that I gave up entirely. Now it’s three years later and I’m 50 lbs heavier. So if it’s between continuing or giving up, I mean, isn’t it better to continue?

    I don’t comment much (I’m more of a lurker) but I’m proud of you for finishing after your struggles during your first round. You really do look great and I know your clothes being too big feels great.

    First, remember that a strict whole30 is just 30 days plus your reintroductions, it's not forever and isn't intended to be. Those occasions with friends are where your food freedom will come into play, once your whole30 is over -- then you get to decide if a glass of wine is worth it, or if you'd rather stick to something non-alcoholic, and you get to decide if it's worth it to you to sometimes have non-whole30 foods while you hang out with friends. Sometimes it might be, sometimes it might not, but it will be completely your choice, not some rule that someone else has set for you. Sometimes it is easier when you know you can have these things if you want them, but you decide that you don't. 
    It may help to find things to do that aren't centered around food. For instance, you could go to museums or shows. For me, I met most of my close friends taking craft classes and we still go take classes or hang out and craft. Or you could hike together or enter fun runs or 5ks. Go learn rock climbing or take dance lessons or archery lessons or axe throwing.
    If you do tend to get together for meals or snacks, find places that have foods you can eat, or invite them to your place for a meal or a movie or a game night. If you tend to always go to the same one or two places, see if you can talk to the chef or someone in charge (at a time when they aren't busy), and see if there's something they could come up with for you that would work so there would be something you can order when you do want to have something to eat.

    I feel you. I’m so sick of Whole 30 food right now. I literally cannot even look at an egg. I am sick of meat at every meal. I’m even a little sick of coconut. I’m looking forward to food freedom.

    I’m bipolar and I was hospitalized during my first real attempt at a whole 30. But I wasn’t on enough antidepressants for me and I’d just had a med change before I began. Ultimately in the end when I finally was near to completing a round (I’m on day 27) my moods improved exponentially. Just make sure to get your starchy carbs in every day, and be prepared to adjust meds. 
    One thing I’ll say is I’d never recommend this for early sobriety. I’m a former opioid addict, I could NEVER have done this earlier.

    @Tarxx99 congrats on completing your Whole30! It's totally normal to feel nervous when reaching the end of your Whole30! You've worked so hard to get to this point ~ Reintroduction plus reading Food Freedom Forever by Melissa Hartwig Urban will definitely help you more firmly establish and keep your great eating choices in play long term!
    Food Freedom Forever will give you skills and tools to know how to navigate well those moments where you say yes to treating yourself - Worth It Moments - and knowing when you need to say no and refrain.
    You've got a lot of great habits in place from doing Whole30. Just keep coming back to your why that lead you to start Whole30 and keep that goal in front of you to inspire and encourage your everyday decisions.

    It's important to note that despite snacking not being in the spirit of the program, you were mindful about your food choices and habit around food.  Moving forward it would be good to remain true to yourself and really dig in deep when you are "craving" a snack versus truly hungry and needing a snack.  Identifying certain behaviors/thoughts/environmental factors around the snacking behavior could really help you change your habits long term.  Keep up the good work -- no whole30 is perfect

    Doctors appointment today, and it went great! My blood pressure went from high to normal it was 120/70! I have lost 15 lbs as well (I knew it had to be significant because my pants are too big now). I know you’re not supposed to weigh yourself but they always weigh you at this doctor. Also I’m off Prilosec, I’m no longer nauseous...ever. Even my back pain is better.
    The Whole 30 works, y’all.
