Overeating, bloating, and feeling lethargic
LucyWhite posted a topic in Troubleshooting your Whole30
Hi Everyone! I am currently on day 14 of my first Whole30. I started this to eat healthier foods and learn to control my cravings. Before, I would consistently overeat cookies and other sugary treats while undereating healthy foods. For example, I wouldn't eat all day only to eat a small dinner and then lots of cookies at night. Now that I have started whole30, I haven't had cravings for food groups that are not allowed. However, I have had intense bloating and constipation and I have felt very tired and overly full. Additionally, I cannot seem to stop eating. No matter what food it -
So I typically eat healthy and limit sugar in general so adjusting to this plan was pretty easy. However, I have yet to see the benefits. Im not looking to loose weight, but was hoping that an elimination diet would get my gut under control and my put my digestion in check. However, I broke out in acne - which I never ever get - about a week ago, and my gas is ridiculous! I referred to my blood type diet and saw that I should not be eating beef, which is mainly what I was eating the first 3 weeks. The elimination of chicken and beef have seemed to help more than anything else. I also ea

Hi there! Im on Day 17 and thus far and have been feeling great and have stayed pretty true to the normal timeline i.e. The Hangover, Kill all the things etc etc. I have been feeling thinner, better energy and overall great and so excited how everything has been working. Starting over the weekend and today being the worst so far and I am insanely bloated and can feel how my pants are fitting more snug than usual. I know this sometimes happens around Day 11 so wondering if I am delayed or what? I also ate out 3 days in a row for one meal a day but did my absolute best to stay on track. I am try

YEsterday was day 18. I am feeling great with a word - Clean. I baked chicken thighs with just salt, pepper, and garlic powder. They crisped up real nice. After two hours of eating 2 (too many?) thighs, I could feel my stomach bloating and a tightness (?) at the belly. The bloating was still there this morning and is slowly receeding. Can a certain food, that is on plan, cause bloating? I find it really interesting that this happened in that if I was eating regularly I wouldn't know what caused the bloating However, the thighs were the only "new" food since I started the program.

Hi all, I am on evening of day 8 and started due to severe IBS symptoms for a long time.. since starting my bloating and pain has pretty much gone (woohoo!) but tonight I had steamed salmon bought from shop (had salmon loads already) boiled broccoli (had before) and sweet potato(had loads of times) and I’ve had really bad bloating for the last three hours! It’s just like it used to be.. None of the food had ingredients lists so I have no idea what I’m reacting to. Has anyone else had this? could anyone suggest what it could be? Any help massively appreciated

Hi I posted in the intro/welcome forum also.. I'm on day 6 and surprised to have my chronic acid reflux / GERD that I was hoping to address in 'reintroduction' as to which foods were triggering. Right now I just have a sore throat and chest congestion, but can feel the cough coming on which is really horrible, keeps me up all night with the coughing attacks, etc. I also have been having low energy, constipation, and bloating. I'm wondering if there are some logical answers to this? Like perhaps, I'm detoxing from a diet heavy in sugar and had gotten away from my healthy habits, s

Hello Whole30 Nation! I would love to be active here, as I don't have anyone IRL that I'm doing my challenge with. I was actually on a first date who told me about how he loves the whole30, had heard about it before- and really was looking for something like this, so got the books and started a few days later! I am normally pretty healthy with diet and exercise, however it has gotten a bit out of hand in the past year or so. I chose to take the challenge for three main reasons: 1. address and break the sugar addiction that was getting out of control 2. see if I can find a soluti

I know it's a common problem on W30 but it's making me a bit crazy. So, I've just finished day 9 of my first (and prob last) Whole 30. Prior to this, I've always eaten basically well, including all grains, legumes and dairy, but never enough vegetables or fruit, and way too much sugar. I had sugar in tea and coffee, frequent chocolate, and lots of biscuits and sweet treats! So I'm doing this to reset my diet and get rid of my sugar cravings once and for all. Normally, my digestion is very good, and although I did get bloated after a carb heavy meal such as pasta, once I took steps to reduce
