  1. Has anyone ever experienced blood in your urine from excercise? I never had but today I did 15 miles and when I got home I was alarmed to see bloody urine, and it wasn't just a little. After doing a little google research I learned this can happen with vigorous excercise. I've ran several half marathons and have never had this happen. Could it be a result of the Whole30? Has anyone ever experienced this?
  2. When I started my first Whole30 my fasting was 450, which was dangerously high. It came down to 170!
  3. I love meats, but after going exclusively to grass finished meats I'm still not used to the grass finished funk. Being a Texan there's a strong hunting tradition in my family, and one trick my ancestors often used to make wild meats more palatable was to drain the blood, going so far as to soak the meat in several changes of water to leech out the gaminess. This is a technique I know of people using with wild boar meat which can be particularly funky. I've tried this myself with a sirloin or two and it works pretty well at removing the funkiness, but I'm curious as to how much harm I might be doing by removing the blood.
  4. I will apologize now... this is not a fun topic. I am on day 8 of the autoimmune whole30. Up until now, everything has gone extremely well. I thought my biggest challenge would be breaking my sugar addiction. In reality, my first week without sugar was much easier than I ever thought it would be. I was so happy last night when I reached a week. Then this morning happens... bloody stool. Bloody stool has been my biggest fear. Background story... I have been wheat free for several years. When I went wheat free, I replaced wheat products with rice products. A year and a half ago I decided to ditch the processed rice products and replace them with salad and that is when I first experienced bloody stool. After an emergency trip to see my doctor he suggested a fiber drink. In the end I gave up and went back to rice bread. My current meals... Breakfast is usually a pork patty, grated fried yam, a piece of fruit and a date. Lunch is usually a kale salad with carrot and cucumber with some sort of meat. Dinner is meat with some veggies, a piece of fruit and a date. I drink about 5-6 glasses of water and have 3-4 cups of tea per day. In the last few days out of fear of this happening, I have also started eating a few prunes every day. I have not had any beets either. It is definitely blood. I am thinking this is a fiber issue but I seriously do not think I can eat much more than I already am. Then again, I have also had the thought that it could be a intestinal bacteria issue. I really do not want to have to stop my autoimmune Whole30. Any ideas and/or advice would be appreciated.
  5. First time Whole30 ... starting soon.

Day 17 - No Tiger Blood - Expectations too high?

HELP! I should be in the Tiger Blood stage. I have been 100% Whole30 compliant and still I feel as though my energy is not as "awesome" as everyone describes. Should I wait a couple of days? What could be wrong? As far as eating I ensure that I have atleast 50-100 grams of carbs a day. I only eat the "healthy" fats and I get plenty of protein. I will say I just started T25 right before my Tiger Blood stage. Could that be it? I just would hate to go through this thing and not get that awesome feeling that everyone is bragging about
