  1. In reading the original rules I recalled it said it was ok to buy minimally processed packaged foods like tomatoes and broths. I purchased the Pacific Brand Beef Broth and didn't notice until later (my bad!) that it contains a small amount of "autolyzed yeast extract" and says on the label it is gluten free. Otherwise the rest of the ingredients are approved. My gut tells me not to eat this as I don't know exactly what that stuff is, though others have posted that guar gum in coconut milk is ok, even though that is technically not a whole food either. Any suggestions??
  2. Pasteles are one of the delicacies found in Puerto Rican homes. It is traditional food that is a treasure in a Puerto Rican food desert that is Oklahoma. I get them from my dad for Christmas. A pastele is basically a protein, some olives, and a few other ingredients that are stuffed inside a mix of plantains and yautìa, which is a corm or tuber type vegetable (?). There is also Adobo (seasoning) and sofrito (which I know is already compliant in of itself when it is homemade.) I also wonder if the seasoning Sazón is compliant. Thank you for your time.

    WaWa Whole 30

Going out of town for the weekend and brought some foods with me but I know we will be probably stopping at a WaWa, what can I eat there? Is there anything I can actually order off the menu or should I just stick to some almonds, fruit cup, veggies, etc. ? Thanks!
  4. Hello-does anyone know if this is whole30 approved?

    Cooking spray

Ok, ok,.....really! I don't use cooking spray often, actually try to avoid it BUT!! BIG BUT! I just looked at my Ingrediants. Soy, soy lecithin, canola oil. All bad, right? So when I don't use cooking spray I use coconut oil or EVO. I guess I just worry about using too much of these. Thoughts? Advice?
