  2. Freeze Dried?

    Hey! My husband and I are a good chunk of the way through our Whole30 now and I've been craving blueberries! However, the berries in the store aren't organic and I don't eat berries that aren't organic since there isn't a thick protective coating on it like a banana or orange! Plus, more micronutrients! But they do have organic freeze-dried blueberries. Is freeze dried okay? Thanks!

  4. My doctor prescribed a fiber supplement several months ago (before I started the Whole30). It has helped my extreme stomach pain tremendously, and I've always gotten a lot of fiber. (Maybe not as much as I would on the Whole30, but a lot.) Upon review, however, the supplement contains maltodextrin. Everything else is compliant. I take a very small amount each day, with water and apple cider vinegar. I'm loath to stop, based on how much better I have felt. Can I keep taking this, or am I better off cutting it out and hoping the Whole30 itself helps with the stomach pain?
  5. So I know this is a weird question but today I was mailing a card and the envelope glue tasted surprisingly sweet. I can't help but worry that there is somehow sugar in there and now I have to start over. Please ease my crazy worries!

The ingredients of this water are carbonated water, citric acid, potassium citrate, natural flavor, aspartame, potassium benzoate, acesulfame potassium, malic acid Idk what most of them are but is this drink ok for the whole30? It's basically a sparkling flavored water from walgreens there's no sugar fat carb etc. 0 calories. Thanks yall!
  7. Whole Foods sells Wellshire Sugar Free Dry Rubbed bacon. It says "paleo" approved. I'm wary, as I know sugar may be used in the processing... can't always trust labels. Is this particular brand and type of bacon approved? thank you!
  8. I'm starting Whole30 in January and picked up some of "Trader Joe's Non-Dairy Coconut Beverage, Original, Unsweetened", can we have this on Whole30? The ingredients are listed below. I know that some of the gums are compliant but am unsure about some of the other ingredients. Thanks! I also purchased some of their organic canned coconut milk because I know that is compliant. Trying to prepare for January! Ingredients: Organic Coconut Base (water, organic coconut cream), Calcium Phosphate, Magnesium Phosphate, Guar Gum, Xantham Gum, Vitamin A Acetate, Vitamin D2, L-Seleniumethionine (Selenium), Zinc Oxide, Folic Acid, Vitamin B12
  9. Whitts BBQ?

    My work is providing Whitts BBQ for lunch and I've googled around but cannot find ingredients. I would assumed the plain pulled pork would be okay but I'm just not sure. I'm on Day 11 and I just don't want to throw caution to the wind. So glad I brought my own compliant lunch. Thanks!

    I'm afraid I know the answer to this question but I thought I'd ask anyway. Just completed a big Whole30 Costco shopping trip and purchased the Trident Alaskan Salmon Burgers (http://www.fooducate.com/app#!page=product&id=47544F68-4355-11E0-A55F-1231380C180E.) Silly me, I didn't check ingredients before purchasing and it appears that they're fried in soybean oil. So I guess this is a no-go, right?
  11. Can I have Coconut Water

    I searched the forum and read the program rules completely and haven't found an answer, so hopefully someone can help. I have 100% organic coconut water. Not coconut milk for coffee. Not coconut sugar. It has no sugar added, just plain coconut water. I ask because it's REALLY sweet so it might violate the "no substituting x for bad thing" rule. OR it might fall within the "fruit juice is ok" rule. (wait, is fruit juice ok? I did a search for "fruit" on the Whole30 program rules and it just says "fruit juice as a sweetener") Thanks very much! - Danielle
  12. Day 3 and I think I could be getting a cold. Does anyone know if the Evolution drink Defense Up is compliant? Here are the ingredients. I was unsure of some of the purees and the ascorbic acid.     hi! I found a recipe and have all but finished making it when i realized i've been using arrowroot flour/starch instead of arrowroot powder..... do i have to scratch my whole meal??? It was simply used to coat the outside of my chicken before putting it into whole30-approved sauce please help!! i already snuck a few bites (((

  15. INGREDIENTS: Distilled Vinegar, Aged Cayenne Red Peppers, Salt, Water, Canola Oil, Paprika, Xanthan Gum,Sodium Benzoate (as a preservative), Natural Butter Type Flavor And Garlic Powder. Wasn't sure about the xanthan gum or sodium benzoate or natural butter Please help me!

    I've searched and haven't been able to find out for sure whether Goose Fat is compliant or not. It can be sourced quite easily in the UK & I'd love to be able to use it.
  17. Restuarant-made Kimchi

    I know some packaged kimchis have sugar listed as an ingredient. I also know many kimchi recipes I see online don't have added sugar. I'll be going to a Korean restaurant on Monday and English isn't spoken fluently by many of the staff. Should I go assuming the kimchi has added sugar or is it more common not to have added sugar?
  18. I keeps seeing "Natural Flavors" as an ingredient on labels that are compliant up until I reach that item. (I see it on non-compliant items as well) What does it mean? And is it "compliant" or should I just steer clear of anything that says this? And if I've already eaten something that says "natural flavors" should I start over?

    Ok, I used to eat rotisserie chicken at least once a week. After investigating it appears there's ALOT if non compliment Ingrediants. Any help or advice here?
  21. Cooking spray

    Ok, ok,.....really! I don't use cooking spray often, actually try to avoid it BUT!! BIG BUT! I just looked at my Ingrediants. Soy, soy lecithin, canola oil. All bad, right? So when I don't use cooking spray I use coconut oil or EVO. I guess I just worry about using too much of these. Thoughts? Advice?
  22. I have used glutamine in the past for help with recovery. After starting the Whole 30 I started really checking into the labels of everything. My glutamine has an ingredient of neotame. After researching I find this is an artificial sweetener. So I contacted the company. They told me that there is such a little amount that is is used as a flavor enhancer NOT an artificial sweetener. Plus it is so minute it does not cause the body to produce any glycemic response. Therefore they claim there is not added sweeteners of any kind. Can use this?

    I finally found what looks to be a compliant breakfast sausage, but it has one ingredient that I am unsure about. The brand is AppleGate and it has organic apple juice concentrate. Does anybody know if this ingredient is acceptable? Thank you.

    Hey Y'all, I am looking for a good multivitamin to take while on my whole 30 program. I used to take One A Day Men's before I started the program, but l stopped taking them when I started because all of the confusing ingredients they have. Does anybody know if this multivitamin is acceptable for the program, and if not, any recommendations for a men's multivitamin while on the W30 program? Thank you.
