  1. Terrible news - last night after eating a delicious meal of teriyaki meatballs and broccoli on day 8, my husband broke into hives. It seems likely that the medjool dates used as a sweetener in the recipe are the culprit. I’m heartbroken as I was already dreaming of a world after whole 30 where we stayed off sugar indefinitely. Has anyone found alternatives that wound change a recipes taste too much?
  2. This may be a really dumb question, but one that I'm wondering about. I recently had some tests done to find out if I had any food allergies. Now I know which ones I'm 'sensitive' to (mushrooms, cranberries, pumpkin, radishes, black pepper, etc.), which one I'm highly allergic to (buckwheat), and what I'm not sensitive or allergic to (lactose, gluten, etc.). That said, is the reintroduction still necessary?
  3. Yes, that's right. 150. I am 5' 9" and was 298 lbs. I just completed my first Whole30 and lost 26 lbs. and enough inches my clothes fall off me. (Didn't get a good measurement on Day 1) Sure, the weight loss is the exciting part. But I also threw away my thyroid medicine, I have boundless energy without my (former) 4-6 cups of coffee a day and my egg allergy is GONE! I had heard my sister talk about Whole 30, Paleo, grain-free, etc. for two years now, and finally decided to do it. I was able to stick to the plan through business travel and a two week vacation at my brother's house. After a few days in between the end of my original Whole30 and a few "off-road" items (I was on vacation!), my second Whole30 starts today from the comfort of my home. 124 lbs to go! I have never been more ready! I LOVE WHOLE30!
