  1. Singer needs

So I have an odd question. I started the whole 30 8 days ago and am doing pretty well. But, I'm getting a "dry" throat a lot when I work. I'm an opera singer and have several performances in the next three weeks. I drink lots of water, at least 3, but normally 4 liters a day, and lots of herbal tea (before, with a bit of honey to avoid my throat getting dry....). When I sing, it all depends on the room and stress level for how dry my throats gets. Normally I suck on a sugar-free ricola (the normal flavor) but this has aspertame in it, which isn't allowed. Also, after reading the part about sweeteners I don't know if that is a good option anymore. I don't use regular sugar ones because it leave a strange taste in your mouth, and gives you bad breath much faster than the other (and opera is very passionate!!) are there any suggestions....?? Thanks so much!!!
  2. Hey everyone. I am a part-time professional singer that typically drinks a LOT of tea or hot water with lemon {or acv} and honey. I have been omitting the honey obviously, but I have a few important rehearsals and shows this month and usually perform for three hours at a time and what helps me {aside from tons of water during the set} are Fisherman's Friend menthol lozenges - they're a miracle worker and most singers I know use them for long shows. Anyways, I know they contain a little bit of added sugar so I need to omit them. Has anyone ever made their own Whole 30 compliant lozenges? I know there are lots of things to do in advance to performing but while performing, it really helps. I want to create something herbal that is very strong and opens up the sinuses and coats the throat but never tried it w/out any kind of adding sweetener. Any ideas? I have not gotten through a 3-hour show without lozenges before... :x Any help is appreciated! Thanks! Allison
  3. Oncoming cold.....

I have an oncoming chest cold. I typically will take zinc lozenges. EVERY ONE I looked at (even sugar-free) has non-compliant "inactive ingredients" Any suggestions. It is staring to creep into my chest. I am scared to take anything! Whole 30 Day 12. Emergen - C also has non-compliant ingredients.
