  1. So I'm finally feeling brave enough to delve into the world of offal (there should probably be an award for this... And another one when I get the rest of my family on board). My question is this: Finances are tight and, while I can afford to buy offal from the local grocery store, I cannot afford to take a trip to Whole Foods and buy grass-fed offal. Is this an issue? Or do the positives of including offal in my diet outweigh the negatives of it (temporarily, at least) coming from a conventional store and/or animal?

    Giblets, please help

    I bought a whole bird and got a very lovely treat in the cavity - a bag of giblets! I am a fan of chicken hearts, so I am down for trying all of these. I haven't opened the seal-pack bag but it looks like at least: heart, liver, gizzard. What am I supposed to do with one bag? Should I prepare each piece individually? How does this work?

    Offal Love - Beef Heart

    I have a grass-fed beef heart in my freezer that I would like to cook this week and wanted to check with my offal loving friends for any tried and true recipes for beef heart. I have never had it but I love chicken hearts so it couldn't be that different, right??
