  1. I am a gangly, 6 foot 2 inches, 155 lb, 17 year old teenage male, and I decided to do the whole 30 with my parents. I am incredibly nervous, but very excited. I have already cut out most of the sugar in my life, but i am still very reliant on grain like stuff (Oatmeal, Ezekiel bread, beans, and rice), and i definitely do not eat enough vegetables. I am a very dedicated long distance runner and run 6 times a week totally 40 miles (pace is usually from 6:15-6:45) and also i go to the gym 3 times a week to lift. I am going to start the whole 30 on January first. I already know that i will struggle to stay full and to not lose weight. I already eat a ridiculous amount of food, and i don't now how i could possibly be full on the whole 30 diet. I am currently in my off-season, but my training regiment will begin to increase on day 10 of the whole thirty. If you have any personal experiences that will help me please share. I am also looking for any specific tips or advice to help me stay full and to not lose weight if possible (i am willing to eat anything that will help me become a better athlete). Please help.
  2. Hi all! I'm on day 15 of my first Whole 30. My sister and cousin encouraged me to do it (to help with hypothyroidism) but neither have attempted to do it while maintaining a steady workout regimen. I usually work out between 5-6 days per week (a mix of boxing, running and weight lifting) but have had a VERY DIFFICULT time maintaining my running since I started the Whole 30. I've been trying to run first thing in the morning, but have found that I run a few blocks and my legs feel incredibly heavy. I've read through other posts about running becoming easier once you are "fat-adapted" and I'm wondering how long it has taken others to get to this point. I'm trying very hard to stay patient but would love to know how others have gotten through this phase! Hilary

Hi everyone, Sorry for posting with what feels like a stupid question but I've spent an hour on the website and can't find the specific instructions for eating if you are an athlete doing Whole30. My husband and I are at the end of day 3 and doing well but I'm noticing cramping after my WODs (CrossFit) and I"m pretty sure we aren't eating enough/at the right times. Thanks! Celina
  4. I have recently started the program and was wondering if there are any recommendations for endurance drinks? I have seen only 1 thing posted: coconut water, any other ideas?? Thanks in advance!!
