  1. Hi all! I lead a relatively healthy lifestyle, enjoying booze and bread reasonably. I incorporate W30 meals on a regular basis and I am active. I am a big believer in the W30! I am on Day 9 of my 2nd W30, and I LOVE to cook, love to eat healthy, and also haven't really struggled with cravings. My struggles have been mood and energy. I definitely had my 'Day 4' emotional meltdown (my poor boyfriend), and I've been a bit crankier than usual, and tired. It's seem pretty consistent the last 5 days or so. My biggest thing I'm struggling with is feeling completely Mentally TIRED. I'm mentally EXHAUSTED. I want to curl up under the covers for the next 5 days. Usually I am so bubbly and energetic and work, and I just want to turn my brain off more than ever. Has anyone else experienced mental fatigue for this much of the beginning of their W30? Help! Audrey
  2. Hi! I'm on day 10 and I'm feeling extremely fatigued. This kind of fatigue is what got me started on the program. Before I started I was eating pretty healthily and exercising, but I always felt bad. On Whole30 I never got the 'hangover' phase. Instead, I got a ton of energy in the beginning, but now I'm starting to feel fatigued again. I sleep 8-9 hours on a regular schedule and exercise regularly. When I'm fatigued like this I can barely drag through a workout and end up taking an afternoon nap just to get through. Sometimes I get a resurgence late at night. Here's what I ate today: Breakfast: 2 slices of bacon, 2 eggs, 1 cup cooked chard, 1 cup sliced Korean melon and coffee with coconut milk. Lunch: lettuce wrapped ground buffalo with onions (about a 1/2-3/4 cup of filling) with guacamole, salsa and carrots Snack (I was too hungry to make it to dinner) : half a banana with almond butter and sunflower seeds, almond milk latte Dinner: BBQ Ribs made with compliant BBQ Sauce, 2 cups sugar snap peas I also drank 2 cups of homemade kombucha watered down with seltzer water.   3. Day 9 into my very first Whole30! I can definitely see why the timeline says that if you're going to quit, you're most likely to quit right around this time. My "good decision" high has worn off and the super energy boost I was feeling last week has gone in the absolute opposite direction (even though I'm finally sleeping through the night again). I'm still finding meals super yummy, but recent tummy troubles have made meal time less appetizing. I haven't seen any (positive) changes to my body composition yet. My poor husband tells me I've been grouchy and, if given a choice, I'd likely choose to stay home in my PJs all day and ignore the world. Fortunately work keeps me in the land of the living, but even at work I'm feeling like a sourpuss. I'm having a lot of doubt right now and I just wanted to say hi and see if anyone else out there has been through it and has come out on the other side. I'm finding myself second guessing my program - am I doing it right? Are my portions too big/too small? Am I eating too many (sweet) potatoes? I'm using the Whole30 book and the Instagram page for all my recipes, so I can't imagine that I'm doing it incorrectly. I'm so committed to doing this for myself, but I admit I'm in a rough patch and since this is my first Whole30, I don't know if the benefits are just waiting right around the corner. 21 days to go and I want to stay strong!!
