  1. Hi guys! I'm experiencing something weird and wanted to know if anyone else had experienced this or had any thoughts on it. I'm on Day 8 and I've been noticing the last couple of days that as I'm eating my meals I'm starting to feel full very quickly. Half way through my meal, even if it's just 2 scrambled eggs with spinach and bacon, I feel full and struggle to finish my plate (because I know that's not enough food to last me so I try to finish it, often unsuccessfully). Then, of course, I'm hungry (like stomach rumbling hungry) an hour or two later! This is a problem for me because I'm running around a lot and not always home to eat. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm guessing my body is just adjusting to the different types of meals I'm eating or something like that but it's so strange! Thanks!
  2. Hi, I'm starting the whole30 this Friday, July 1... Yay! My work schedule is pretty normal. However, on Monday, July 4 to Tuesday, July 5 I will be working on overnight shift from 12am to 8am (Tuesday morning). Should I be eating during that overnight shift? How do I go about eating the day before the overnight shift (Monday), the overnight shift, and the rest of that day (Tuesday)? Please help! I'm quite confused on what I should do! I know I'll be sleeping the rest of the day on Tuesday. I don't know if this will throw off my whole30 schedule...? Thanks so much!!! - Amanda
  3. I started my Whole30 on the 27th of Feb this year. After successfully completing the program, I reintroduced almost every food group back into my diet – except for sugar. Ever since I started Whole30 I've been binging almost every day, eating a lot more than I should have. And with Whole30 now over, I've started binging on the "bad" food, some of which I suspect are responsible for the recent outbreak of acne on my face (and by binging I mean eating half a huge loaf of bread plus almost a quarter of a 1kg cheese block in addition to a big fish fillet and half a kilo of veggies and a banana and two kiwifruits and half a pineapple — all in one meal! I'm 5'5 tall and around 114-115 pounds by the way). I'm desperate for a solution to stop this binge eating. I'm wondering if the binging is caused by my sugar cravings. Maybe I just need a little sugar and then I'll be satisfied and stop binging? Maybe I'm binging because I'm not letting myself have sugar and I'm subconsciously trying to compensate for it by overeating everything else? Or am I just making up excuses so I can have some sugar? I haven't touched any food with added sugar since I started in Feb (though I have been eating a lot of fruits), and I'm considering just buying some kind of dessert, eating it, and seeing if it stops my binge eating. But if it doesn't work I'll probably end up binging on the dessert too and it'll be a disaster. Has anyone had any similar experiences? Any advice would be really appreciated! Thanks in advance!
  4. Lack of Energy?

I am on day 14 and I am kind of waiting for that "AHHH" moment where I am overcome with energy and can barely contain myself. Maybe it doesn't happen for everyone; but, I want to find out if maybe I am doing something wrong, or could be doing something better. I will note that I haven't exercised much since starting the plan. I went out for a jog early on, and where I am usually spent after two miles, I couldn't even finish one. I felt very defeated. I suppose it is just my body getting used to this new way of eating less-than-everything and not snacking. But it was discouraging. So; I am curious if I am not having enough of either protein, veggies, or fats. I will try to be as descriptive as possible regarding one of my standard meals for the day. All comments from moderators and non-mods appreciated. Meal 1: Two eggs, chicken sausage link, 1 cup spinach (cooked), salt/pepper, compliant hot sauce. Meal 2: 3-4 cups (eyeball) of mixed greens, two carrots shredded with rice vinegar/coconut aminos, compliant dressing, 1/4 avocado, 1/2 cup chicken and homemade mayo (1tbsp) Meal 3: 2 cups cooked ground beef (eyeball), compliant tomato sauce, roasted brussels sprouts with bacon, salt/pepper I have not been snacking between meals (praise the lord) and I feel full after every meal. I am also only drinking water (will try to increase) and have, on average, one grande black coffee (sometimes with coconut milk) every day.
  5. Hey whole 30ers! I'm on day four of my Whole30 and I find I'm still snacking! I am eating coconut paste, macadamias and blueberries for these snacks, usually twice a day. I thought I wasn't eating enough so today I tried to increase my food intake, and found I was still hungry after dinner. I ate: Breakfast 2 boiled eggs Spinach 2 slices of bacon broccoli 1/2 avocado Coffee with coconut milk Lunch Baby spinach Tin tuna 1 hard boiled egg broccoli 1/4 cup pumpkin/sweet potato Snack coconut paste Dinner Mince Vegetable bake Snack Coconut flakes Macadmias So, is it really not OK to snack? Could that be what's going to undo me and stop my weight loss goals? Thanks!
  6. I'm on Day 22 of the Whole30, and in the past week or two I've been having trouble eating. I feel hungry but as soon as I eat a few bites, I feel either full or just unwilling to eat anymore. I've been trying to force myself to eat, although nothing seems appetizing to me. I know it's important to change things up and try new recipes, which I have, but it still doesn't help my desire to eat. I certainly don't want to be eating too little and not get the nutrition that I need. Has anyone else gone through this? Suggestions?
  7. Okay, I don't know if this technically qualifies as a medical condition, but this seemed to be the most suited place to post this. I'm pretty new here (I'm on day 1 of my whole30 today, but the past 3 days I have been eating as if I were on the whole30, except for 1 vodka and soda and 1 coffee w/ cream). I was already eating primal 90% of the time before hand so this wasn't a big change for me, except eliminating dairy. I actually feel really good. Only one problem..... Night Eating... now this isn't eating before bed... i'm fine there I can resist a snack etc this is eating about 1 or 2am after I have gone to bed. I go to sleep and then wake up and come out and eat something, it varies in quantity and its generally always something fatty/high calorie (think peanut butter/cream/fizzy drink) as i'm doing whole30 the only carbs we have are vege form and raw at 1am. This isn't a new thing for me, it has happened ever since I was about 14 or so and i'm now 22. I have been able to stop for short periods of time, but it always starts happening again. >I also have type 1 diabetes & celiac disease >Now, I know I should not skip breakfast so I have a big breakfast each day, >I also don't keep things in the house that shouldn't be eating (like donuts/cookies etc). The only reason for pb/fizzy is my bf likes them and in the day time, I never feel tempted by these things anyway. >Also this happens generally no matter how much I ate during the day, unless I've really pigged out. I'm assuming its something to do with hormone levels, but I don't know what to do... does anybody have any advice for me (excluding telling me any of the things I have written above that I already do please!!) Thanks
