  1. Hi. I started the #januarywhole30 on the 1st and was really motivated and excited. I was also tempted to use surgery on the 11th as an excuse to quit or cave but i did not. I read that the opiods and NSAIDs could be problematic so I'm finally done with those. I also switched to the AIP w30 two days ago. So losing the eggs has helped already. But holy crap i have been lethargic as hell! I'm going into day 23. Just wondering how much of a wrench surgery can throw into my w30 game? Because while I'm reading DaybyDay and keeping up with my FB group....i feel left out, or like I'm not doing it right....or something. I've done w30 several times before, never finished, but i had super energy by like the 5th day of cutting out all the crap. I am healthy overall, trying to take into account the recovery process, and also trying to get some perspective. Considering making it a w60 just to allow recovery and AIP to work itself out....but holy crap man. I have zero energy to get up off the couch. Thanks for listening. I'm sure i am being ridiculous and impatient but wanted to connect with someone who may have experienced something similar. Much love, Jackie

    I keep restarting but I take at least a few of the good habits with me. A lot has changed in my mindset and I know I can do this. Lydia Jo

    Start Date: January 1, 2018

    Hi friends! I'll be starting my second Whole30 on January 1st. I have two things I need to clarify. 1. On the meal template it says "add fat in the following recommended amounts per meal" and lists healthy fats. Do we pick one of those, two, three? Is there a limit? 2. My day typically looks like this: -Wake up around 6am, drink water, eat breakfast, drink coffee -Have lunch around noon -Work 9am-5pm, then workout 6:30 to 7:30pm (I typically do yoga, TRX or a yoga-based fitness class) -Go home and eat dinner afterwards I know you're supposed to eat a pre and post-workout meal, but for me, it's A LOT of food crammed in to a short period of time after work/before bed. I'm not worried about eating a pre-workout meal, but since I workout so late in the afternoon, it seems like I don't have time to fit in a post-workout meal. Suggestions? Thanks fam!

    Start Date January 30th

    Hey Everyone, I am starting in a week, January 30th. Reading the book and getting my self familiar with all the other resources. I am poorer and a little bit afraid to start the diet due to lack of a reliable income. However, I have a lot of health issues including digestive and my doctor believes that the Whole 30 could really help. That being said I am going on the diet for a whole 90 days. My boyfriend is joining me for the first two weeks to help get me started. After that I am going to be needing all the online support I can get. I am really excited to start having my health improve and I am thrilled to make some new friends along the way. I have the Whole 30 book, but I am going to need as many recipes as I can get.     Calling all January 1st Whole30'ers! Where are you?! Whether you're a newbie or veteran let's gather here for support and encouragement to start off 2016 with a bang! Who else is starting Jan 1? Comment here and introduce yourself! Let's do this! I'm Keely and I live in KS. I've done about 7-8 Whole30's in the past couple of years and it's never failed me. But I feel like I need this one more than ever. I let the holidays totally kick my ass. I plan to extend this Whole30 in to 60 or even a 90 maybe! January 1st is welcome here! Bring it, 2016!

    Start Date January 8th

    Hello! My name is Sharon and I am a 36 year old mom of 3 (soon to be 4 as we're in the process of adopting) in Northern British Columbia. After a very stressful Christmas Season at my job, I spent too many nights bringing dinner home for the family in brown paper take out bags. I had developed bad habits long before that, but it went out of control for most of November and December. Mood swings, lethargy, headaches, gastro-business that is all kinds of unpleasant-ness and an inability to motivate myself to get off the couch once my work day are no longer acceptable to me. January 8th is my start date as its the day after payday, and I can get grocery shopping done, meal plan and prepare my family (especially my teenagers) about the significant lack of junk food they're about to notice And, I know we're not supposed to pay any mind to the scale, I stood on New Years day and found myself weighing in at 291lbs, and am interested to see ALL of the victories through the program.

I just started the 8th month of my 2nd pregnancy and I'm suffering from a lot of heartburn, constipation, indigestion, gas, sleeplessness, and joint pain so I'm planning my first Whole30 on 1/1/16 - I know some symptoms in pregnancy happen but I'm sure my diet/dependency on crap doesn't help many of these issues. Anyone else interested in joining me in a 1/1-1/30 Whole30 go at it?? I definitely would love some companionship!
  8. A new month, a new year, and a new week! January 5th is my decided start date This is my first time doing the Whole30 and I am researching up a storm. I have given myself a few weeks to help clear my pantry, set up a routine exercise time 3-5 times a week, etc. I'm even using my local library (which I have never been to before) to check out Paleo cookbooks. I have anxiety and depression issues that I feel are greatly attributed to my diet. I really want to get healthy and see if what I eat will effect my mood as well as keep my body happy.   10. Hi all, I am planning on starting my first Whole30 on January 1st. I have been researching paleo/clean eating/whole30 for a few years now and incorporating some of the concepts into my diet but I decided it was time to put my money where my mouth is. As an incentive to myself to stick with this, I am setting aside a $50 gift card to Barnes and Noble as a reward to myself for when I finish. It is going to be tough for me because I am an absolute sugar addict. Living in NYC also adds some unique challenges. Aside from everything being expensive as all hell, I can only take home from the grocery store what I can carry. I am hoping to take this on as a challenge to really plan out my weekly meals so I can take advantage of my resources. Not ordering lunch at work will also be tough as nothing really beats the convenience of Seamless, lol. I already have a pretty active workout schedule in place but it isn't helping me shed the pounds. Hopefully this is going to do it for me. 80% of your progress is diet, right?   11. Hi Just wondering if anyone else on the Forum lives in Scotland? Started my Whole30 on 1st January, but bought ISWF back in September and have been eating Paleo on and off for a number of months. However, I do notice how much better I feel if I get strict, so am doing a reset now. Also my chocolate addiction got a bit out of hand over Christmas! Seems like nobody around here has heard of the Whole30 so I just wondered.....
  12. Hey all, I was in the midst of a Whole30 when I (surprisingly) found out I was pregnant in September. I have spent the last 3 months since eating really REALLY bad. I am ready to get back on track and am planning a Whole30 starting January 1. I wanted to see if any other pregnant moms wanted to be my accountability buddy? I'm currently 19 weeks so I will be doing this from week 21-25 it seems. Sarah
