  1. Hi everyone, I wanted to start a new thread about an issue that I personally am dealing with and hope to recover from. Back in November 2012 when pregnant with my daughter I began suffering from severe depression and my OBGYN at the time put me on an SSRI (Selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitor). Since then, my depression has gotten better but I still suffer from anxiety that has only gotten marginally better. Fast forward to 2018 and I have been on this medication for almost six years. Do not turn this into a debate about medication. Do not come in here and tell me to change and "to work harder." I can tell you with a 100% certainty that I do not like being depressed - so don't treat me like I do. When I was introduced to the Whole30 I immediately jumped in and set goals for myself. One of these goals was to once and for all get myself into a better space physically and mentally to begin weaning myself from this medication. My post is meant as a safe space for those of us suffering from moderate to severe depression if you need a place to communicate with those of us who can relate to your situation.   2. So, one of the reasons I decided to start Whole30 was: 1. I've gained 30 lbs over the last year and a half (20 have been in the last 6 months) after having kept off weight for over 2 years. 2. I was diagnosed with high blood pressure May of 2016 and I was hoping to have it back down to normal by now. 3. I was diagnosed w/ abnormal thyroid functions November of 2017 4. My eating habits were getting out of control. I was a much healthier eater but after 2 & 3 I had the pity party and found that no matter what I was doing (before we found out about thyroid)... I couldn't drop weight or keep it off. Well, now I have 2 more reasons... I had some pain in my left side and we've had it check and all my other blood work done..... organs are all good, But they said I'm showing inflammation in my blood work so they want me to start a baby aspirin everyday & my cholesterol is high so they want me to reduce my carbs (which I told them & they were happy that I had just started Whole30).

    Dizzy spells and cold/clammy hands

    So, whenever I have ever "dieted" in the past, the hunger isn't the big thing I'm fighting, it's unbearable dizzy spells and cold/clammy hands. The dizziness is to the point of it affecting my concentration at work. Now, yesterday was only my day 1 but right away, it hit me in the afternoon. I've been living 100% sugar-free since May of last year, so I know it isn't that. Like I said, this always happens to me. Does anyone know what it is and what I might be able to do for it?
