  1. I started Whole30 on May 8th. It is Day 12 but seems like its been longer. I am pleasantly surprised by the self discipline I have been able to muster. I am a sugar addict, and I have tried many times to kick the habit. So far, so good! I believe eliminating grains and dairy have helped with the sugar addiction because those were the two main forms of delivery for my daily sugar. Fortunately, my husband is also on Whole30. It helps to have a partner! We love the wholesome meals we've been preparing, and we're even adding new kitchen gadgets to make it easier. The food processor has been a great addition. So far, I've had a few weak moments but I managed to survive the temptations. One was buying my son a milk shake at Sonic (I wanted a taste sooo bad!). Looking forward to Day 15 so I can celebrate the halfway mark. I have a feeling that I will continue with a lot of the good habits I'm beginning, and hopefully will be able to stay off sugar for good. I can already see a difference in my skin, and my clothes are feeling a bit looser.
  2. Whole30 Day 1 - April 3

Hi everyone! My name is Morgan and I am starting Whole30 for the very first time today! I'm 24 years old and am trying to get in better shape, start treating my body right, and really learn what foods make me feel good and what things slow me down. I'm nervous because I love cheese, ice cream, and wine SO MUCH, but I think this 30 days will be worth it! I'm also going to Italy in May (shortly after my 10 day reintroduction period) and I want to be feeling amazing for my trip. I spent my day yesterday shopping and meal prepping, so I'm fully prepared for the first 7 days! I'd love to hear from other people who are starting today and anyone who has advice about rocking your very first Whole30!
  3. Hi everyone!

Hi everyone! My name is Shaina and I am on my second day of my first Whole30 experience. So far so good. I've always been a pretty healthy eater (not perfect by any means) and am a generally active person, but my healthy lifestyle has sort of remained stagnant and unexciting for a while and I've been wanting to try something new for a while. In recent years I've also noticed I have a very sensitive and irritable stomach and sensitive, prone-to-break-out skin, so I am really really really (!) excited to see what, if anything happens throughout my Whole30 experience. I am feeling relatively confident in my ability to do this (hopefully that is not just the "newness" of it all) but I do have a question for everyone. I travel for work a few days a week... usually never too far away but some days I can spend up to four hours in my car. I've noticed it's a natural trigger for me to grab something to eat in the car - sometimes it was a bagel, a smoothie, trailmix, etc. Today, knowing that I had to be on the road I cut up some green bell pepper and packed an apple and a full water bottle. I immediately noticed how inadequate that felt to snack on in the car. Any advice as far as on-the-road snacking goes? Looking forward to continuing this Whole30 with new and veteran members - Shaina
  4. Started September 25th

Hi everyone. My name is Audrey. I live in Portland, OR. Started a few days ago. I am not trying to lose weight - just the opposite. I am hoping a healthier diet will help me get to a healthier weight, improve my energy levels (which are very low) and make me less prone to aches, pains, and illnesses. And who knows maybe it will have a positive effect on my glaucoma. And if it works I know I'll be a happier & more pleasant person.
