Ok here we go. I started the whole 30 and made it almost 2 weeks then I ate a bunch of peanuts while i was babysitting (it is so tempting when I am at other's homes and they have food that is not whole9 friendly!) So then I started over and made it 20 days... but I was still chewing gum and participated in a wine tasting at work. After the wine tasting I started to cheat here and there. So I AM STARTING AGAIN tomorrow. I am determined to do the next 30 days 100% I have had a couple slip ups and ready to get back to it. I thought loggin my food would hold me more accountable so I am going to do that here for the next month!!!

Hey Taryn! I just started today. I can really relate. This is my 2nd attempt. I always fail with stupid snacking..

Just wanted to give you a pat on the back and say "we can do this!"

good luck! Tomorrow is my day 2.

I am having such a hard time!! I have been nannying overnights since sunday night. I start of the day compliant and then snack on junk. Tomorrow is my last day here. Tomorrow will be day 1. For breakfast I am going to have chicken breast, a hard boiled egg, and salad. How did day 2 go? Have you taken measurements and before after pics?

You can do this! I suggest that you take it one day at a time. Don't worry about Day 5 or 10 or 30. just go to sleep thinking about your success tomorrow and how good you will feel. Tomorrow focus on getting in 3 complant meals that satisfy you so that you can stick to plan. Be sure to eat enough. This isn't a diet.

I only took my weight measurement! I did take a before picture of my face because my chin has a ton of acne and dark spots. I'm hoping that it will clear up!! I should have measured but, I don't have anything to do it with!

Day 3 is almost done.. feeling kind of icky today!

Thanks so much for the support! It really helped. You are totally right to take it one day at a time. I think my last attempt I started to get overwhelmed and that is when it went downhill. Anyways.. here is the log!!!

Day 1

Bfast 1- chicken breast, lettuce, hard boiled egg, coffee with coconut milk (from can)

Lunch 1- big salad w/ turkey, tahini dressing, and 6oz of nuts

Lunch 2- banana, strawberries

Dinner 1- chicken breast, 2 eggs, brussel sprouts

Dinner 2- 15 prunes

So I have decided to refer to everything as meals, rather than snacks. My goal for tomorrow is to have every meal contain protein, rather than snacking on fruit/nuts. Looking over today I realized I had too much sugar (from fruit.) I also probably over did it on the nuts as well. I was afraid of being hungry and went over board. I want to work on recognizing hunger and trusting my body.. when I am hungry and when I am full. I think years of dieting has made this hard for me to trust myself. Tomorrow I am looking forward to eating compliant and drinking lots of water!

I suggest you print out copies of the food template and tape them up in all food preparation areas. If you stick to the meal template you should be fine. Snacks should be mini meals and should also follow the template. 6 oz of nuts is a lot for sure. Trust the food template and your body will fall in line. You can do this!

Day 2. Feeling more accomplished and determined with one day behind me. I really want to "slay the sugar dragon" or whatever it is! Today i have decided to fight back when I get a craving. Thinking of this as slaying a dragon is starting to help.

Breakfast- 2 eggs, brussel sprouts

Lunch- chicken breast, big salad w/ tons of veggies... afterward i was craving sugar so i took a spoonful of coconut oil! It worked :-)

Dinner- chicken breast, big salad

I am working tonight and bringing my dinner with me. I will not eat the food at work! I work at a country club and we are working a wedding all weekend.

Taryn, I have just started my Whole30 journey as well. I can definitely relate to being unsure when I'm actually hungry or full. I'm trying to let go and just trust myself. Take it all one day at a time! Best of luck to you :)
