I'm a believer!

Hi everyone,

I started my W30 on Thursday, May 2, so that makes today Day 13. I started with my sister, but she quit on day 2. I am going strong and feeling really good.

The most amazing benefit I have found so far is that my chronic anxiety is getting better. I'm a full-time working mom raising, with my husband, a 6-year-old and my stepkids (15 and 12). I have been living with stress and anxiety my whole life, but it was just getting worse and worse and, with it, came creeping depression.

After about 4 or 5 days of W30, I could tell I was substantially calmer. Amazing! I didn't think I could ever feel this way without medication (and who wants that?!)!

I have also found W30 to be easier than I anticipated. Thankfully, I like eggs. I am a bit burned out on salads from past "dieting," but I am making all sorts of hot plates, which I eat for dinner and then use the leftovers for lunch.

My husband is very much a SAD eater and shopper, but he's being supportive and, at least, my whole family is eating better quality meats and eggs now.

I do miss a drink now and then but, otherwise, I am full speed ahead! So thankful that i found this fantastic program. I am sure this is the first of many Whole 30s!

Welcome and congrats on sticking to the plan even though your sister quit! I too have found that my moods are so much more even (I am on Day 24). I find that I can deal with stressful situations without losing my temper as easily or really even being that affected. I just deal with the issue and move on. It is a great feeling!
