Dana at Happy Little Lovelies
Hi, y'all! I'm Dana. This has been a long time coming, I guess. I've pondered paleo (and about everything else) as a way for me to lose weight but more importantly heal my relationship with food and learn to eat for the rest of my life. I'm a 33 yr old mom to 3 littles (our 3rd just turned 1 year old) and wife to a pretty handsome guy. I run my own business from home. I have struggled with my weight all of my adult life and my thyroid for the last 10 yrs (hypothyroidism). Recently, though I'm eating healthier than ever and working out, I've noticed weird skin things and low energy levels....so yeah, it's time to give this a shot. I have a sweet tooth and adore cheese. And wine. (Oh, the wine.) Thankfully, I already drink my coffee black. I'd love to meet more of y'all and build some support for the next 30 days. Really looking forward to my body getting some much needed rest and going back to doing what it was intended to do.
Rosencrantz1
My wife and I are on day 28 of our second Whole30. Although we've done one before - and although we have kept pretty strict paleo for almost two years - we are still marveling at just what a fantastic experience the Whole30 has been for us. We both just feel spectacular! Best of luck to you on your journey!
donnagem
Good on you Dana. I have just finished my first W30 last week and it was one of the toughest but most rewarding experiences of my life. I needed to give myself a few days to mentally prepare myself for the challenges that came my way so I admire you for running with it on the spot. Just constantly remind yourself that you WILL feel so much better in ways you can't possibly imagine right now - it will get you through.
Dana at Happy Little Lovelies
Thanks, guys. I've spent pretty much the whole morning making lists, looking up recipes and planning our meals for the week. I hate meal planning so this is stretching me until I get the hang of easy, whole 30 meals. Dinner last night and breakfast this morning were really good though! And my hubby is really excited about all the meat.
mrslynch1963
Hi Dana! I'm on Day 20 of my first Whole30 ... the most significant change I've experienced is my relationship with food. WOW! It's been really significant! It's fun to cook and try new foods! Planning may seem daunting at first, but it gets easier! Good luck, and enjoy your challenge!
