Food sensitivity to eggs

Recommended Posts

A few years ago I had a food sensitivity test done ( that measures antibodies in the blood) It came back saying I had an egg sensitivity. I had never had any reactions from eating eggs but I cut them out 3 years ago in hope it would help my migraines - but made no difference, and they have only gotten worse. Have been easing into Paleo over the past month- and officially starting my whole 30 tomorrow. If I could eat eggs for breakfast it would be so much easier! Is it worth trying and seeing how I feel? Anyone have any experience with eliminating food sensitivities?

Thanks!

If you tested positive for something, I'd consider avoiding it all costs during your Whole30 and try to reintroduce it when you're done. I've been avoiding eggs for a few years after they showed up my food sensitivity testing, among other things. I decided my third Whole30 was a good time to re-introduce them and it turns out it wasn't... Though they no longer gave me brain fog, I didn't get the same results I had on my previous Whole30s and I was very frustrated.

You might have a different result, but the point of a Whole30 is to eliminate things that can negatively affect your body. If you know of any other foods that have affected you negatively - whether you noticed a reaction or not - it's best to eliminate those as well during the process.

I agree that you dont want to add them back in now. Insofar as breakfast goes, there are a bunch of threads discussing eggless breakfasts. Some people can't eat them, others choose not to.

I think the easiest thing is to think of it not as "breakfast" but as "meal 1." You can eat anything you want! It might take a little while to change up your way of thinking, but it'll come to you.
