[email protected]
I love avocado for its versatility and obviously taste. However, am struggling to figure out how much is good and how much is over-doing it. I know it depends on body composition, but are there any other guidelines? how much is too much healthy fat? TXN11
From what I've read and learned, 1/2 to 1 avacado in one meal is about right, depending on your size. It's better to err on the side of too much fat than too little fat.
Moderators Tom Denham Posted May 20, 2013 Moderators Share Posted May 20, 2013 Eating one avocado per day would be fine. Rather than eating more than one per day, you should diversify to other fat sources like olives, coconut, macadamias, etc. if you need more fat. Avocados are good food, but it is important to eat a variety of foods because there are differences in the nutrition available from each and we benefit from capturing a good range. dianavuong
Avocado sizes vary so much, I sometimes wonder the same.
