[email protected]
I have been experimenting with different oils for cooking and taste. Does anyone cook with sesame seed oil? grape seed oil? likes? what ones do you recommend?!
Moderators Tom Denham Posted May 20, 2013 Moderators Share Posted May 20, 2013 Sesame oil is best used as a flavoring oil that is not heated. Grape seed oil is high in omega6 fatty acids and not a good oil choice hot or cold. It won't kill you. I used it when I first started a Whole30 because I did not know that omega6s were a problem. Nowadays, I do my cooking with coconut oil or ghee and use olive oil for dressings or with mild heat. Other good cooking fat choices are beef tallow, lard, or duck fat, but I don't do much with them.
