Laketon79
So I read that they have phytates too, the same thing that makes wheat bad. So why can we have nuts and seeds but not wheat?
Beets
Good question. I know if I eat a lot of nuts I feel tired and bloated. (I'm on AIP now and not eating them, but I did find that soaking helped at least with the bloating.) But wheat poses other major problems besides phytates--gluten, lectins. Also, most people on SAD eat a lot more wheat, volume-wise, that is contained in a handful of soaked nuts. http://chriskresser....go-nuts-on-nuts Cocoa powder is also very high in phytic acid.
