Evonne House
Hello All! I committed to Whole 30 on Monday, 5/20 and I'm really excited about the program. My main reason for taking this challenge is to lose weight and improve my relationship with food. I started a really stressful job in 2012 and I have had difficulty balancing my time between work and my young family. As I know most moms can relate, I have almost nothing left over for myself. Since I started my job I have gained 30 lbs - I am a stress eater (and its aways, always sugar) and I rarely get enough rest on a regular basis. Any other mommies out there have any advice on this? Instead of feeling defeated, I decided to focus on what I CAN do. I can't control work, and children are wonderfully unpredictable, but I can control what goes into my mouth- so thats what I plan to focus on for the next 30 days. So now I have officially publicly committed- No turning back. . . . Best of luck to everyone!!

7babies
Excellent point of view to focus on what is changeable. For me, I kept repeating "If I would die for them I should live for them." I ( all moms and dads for that matter) need to take time to care for myself to really care for everyone else. It's not selfish it's smart. Best of luck to you. PamH
10 years ago I decided I needed to live to 100. My youngest has Autism, and I need to be here for him as long as possible and as healthy as possible. It started out for him, and now it is for me. Some days feel way out of control, but in the long run I know I am doing the best I can. good luck!
