I'm 14 weeks and have continued to drink kombucha - although I stopped brewing my own right now and have stuck with GTs brand mostly.  I made some Kombucha Gelatin with Great Lakes Gelatin - so good and perfect as a cold treat.  Sorry I can't find the recipe I used right now!

Sorry - I need to ask - what is kombucha? I keep seeing it in posts and I've never heard of it? Thanks

It's a fermented drink of enzymes and probiotics.  You can either "brew" your own, or buy it already made. Here is a popular brand: http://www.synergydrinks.com/

There's a huge thread in the Recipe Sharing section of the forum for folks who want to make their own Kombucha. http://forum.whole9life.com/topic/10419-kombucha-makers-unite-where-to-ask-and-be-answered/

Thanks - sounds good although I'm not sure I fancy making my own :/ another question - does it have sugar in? I'm in the uk and the ones I've found online seem to contain sugar?

Some brews do have sugar. Those brands, obviously, are prohibited on a W30.

Actually, all kombucha contains sugar. It's necessary for the fermentation process. If it contained zero sugar, it would be vinegar and undrinkable. The sugar feeds the SCOBY. I make my own, but when I buy it, I look for no more than 2-4% sugar. I think Robin said up to 6% is okay. Any more than that and they are adding it after fermentation as a sweetner. I know a few people in the UK have found compliant kombucha.

i drank kombucha through much of my pregnancy and my kids have been drinking it since they were 2 or 3 years old, they only get a little bit...i started with just giving them an occasional sip of mine, now that i brew my own i give them each up to 1/ 4 bottle (they are 6 years old now).
