SonyaT
Apparently that is the real name for them. Rice paper wrappers, any thoughts on them? I've been looking around and have found some that use tapioca starch instead of rice flour. I'm thinking they would be just fine but I thought I'd check to see what you all thought. TIA!!! Moderators Tom Denham Posted May 24, 2013 Moderators Share Posted May 24, 2013 I would view tapioca starch wrappers as similar to Pure Wraps made with coconut. Okay if you want it.
SpinSpin
Oh yum! Could you share the brand name that is made from tapioca starch? I love spring rolls! I think they would be lovely stuffed with all sorts of yummy veg, mint, some poached shrimp and dipped in the sunshine sauce from Well Fed. Yumm! SonyaT
I think the brand I looked at was called Three Ladies Brand. I found them at my local Asian market.
SpinSpin
Thank you! I live right around the corner from an Asian market--I will have to check them out! Love spring rolls for lunches for summer--would be wonderful to be able to have them again!
Robin Strathdee
Just a caution friends: Fill them with meat, veggies and fat and don't be tempted to over eat them. They can be a serious food-with-no-brakes.
