1Maryann
Curiosity got the better of me, so I tried the sardines with sauerkraut. it was...edible. It will never rise to the level of a "go-to" meal, but I shall keep some of both in my hurricane pantry. If I am again without power for a week or more, or if SHTF, it would be better than going hungry. That is all.

Boykinbaby
I just had saurkraut for the first time with canned salmon and fresh tomato and it was tasty. I wonder if you could mix the fish and kraut with an egg and fry them into cake/patties

I can handle it hot, but want to eat those little buggers before I kill them so that they can continue their work inside of me. Or not.
