mkn
I'm on Day 22, and starting to think about re-introduction. I'm a little confused, and would love some help. (I did read the book, btw, but it was a library loan & had to return it!) My understanding is you re-introduce something for a few days, then wait a day or two and try re-introducing something else. So, for example, Day 1-3, try milk products, rest a day or two, then try glutenous grains. My question is this: when I try the glutenous grains, do I back the dairy out once again? Also, how long does it take to feel effects? Is one day in between re-intros enough? Am I over-thinking this? Thanks for your help!
Kirsteen
Hi I just checked in the book and it says Day 1. Reintroduce and evaluate dairy products Day 4. Reintroduce and evaluate gluten-containing grains Day 7 Reintroduce and evaluate non-gluten containing grains Day 10 Reintroduce and evaluate legumes. It also says these less healthy foods should be introduced one group at a time while keeping the rest of your diet as W30 clean as possible. The key is not combining food groups in any one testing day and, of course, if you don't miss thse foods that make you less than healthy, don't bother reintroducing them. So a full reintro would be Day 1 dairy, Days 2 & 3 clean, Day 4 gluten, Days 5 & 6 clean, Day 7 other grains, Day 8 & 9 clean, Day 10 legumes, Day 11 & 12 clean and by then you should know just how you react to all these food groups. Hope this helps

Physibeth
I thought there are supposed to be 3 clean days between intros. Will have to check my book again. The book also suggests adding the tested food at all 3 meals to really get it in your system.
Susan W
I do think the book says 2 days break, but I did it a little differently. After eating so clean, I reintroduced items two meals a day for 2 days and then I took 4 days or more between reintros.
TXN11
Also, if you react harshly to something you reintroduced, you might want to take an extra day of clean eating before reintroducing the next thing. After reintroducing gluten, I had to wait an extra day or 2 because my reaction to gluten.
