bnlauren
How many of you use salt during your 30 day challenge? I read some saying only sea salt while a few people say eliminate it all together. I'm aware that alot of the food eating on Paleo is not processed thus there's is a definite lack of salt. Also, that salt is necessary in maintaining electrolyte balance. What are your thoughts? Yay or nay?
Susan W
Salt away. Food is so bland without it and unless you have a medical condition that would prohibit it, there is no reason to avoid it.
bnlauren
Thanks what I was thinking honestly. With the 30 day challenge I know we can included spices and herbs, therefore I was assuming salf also. But with society up in arms about how horrible salt is i wasn't sure if it was something to be avoided during the challenge.

Susan W
Well that same "society" says eggs and red meat are bad so close your ears and enjoy.
SpinSpin
I change up what salts I am using--Himalayan pink, sea salt and iodized all find places on my table! Love kosher salt too for salting dishes when I am cooking--like soup and stew and the like.
missmunchie
I use salt like I would any other herb or seasoning. Sometimes I rock it, sometimes I don't. I love the idea of switching up the salts, SpinSpin!
Kirsteen
The smokehouse people that come to the local farmer's market sell smoked salt (and smoked garlic), it's absolutely fabulous
Juice06870
I salt almost everything - either sea salt, himalayan pink salt, smoked sea salt etc. I figure, the salt content of foods is only a problem when you are eating processed stuff that has like 20% of your daily allowance in one serving. But if you are cooking the food yourself, and salting it to your preferred taste, there is no way you should come anywhere close to overconsuming it.
