Can't keep anything down & traveling

I left this morning for a business trip. The 2nd flight had really bad turbulence, and I got sick. after landing I has a few sips of water and something like 2 almonds and 3 raisins and then sat to rest in my rental car, then got sick again after 20-30 mins. Drove 40 mins, stopped to rest again, then as soon as I started driving I got sick *again* into my water bottle bc there was no where to pull over.

Went to my hotel instead of going to work, drank about 6oz of water and slept for 4 hours, then decided to go to walmart for electrolyte water, bananas, and chicken broth (which has some evap cane juice but at this point I don't care). I got sick again at walmart-it was neon yellow so prob just bile.

Normally I would have a few saltine crackers and sleep it off--at what point do you decide to cut the w30 short so you can keep food down? If I was home I'd have my hubby get me ginger tea or kombucha, but I can't get those for myself at this point... What should I do?

PS I'm guessing this is a combo of motion sickness and a bug or food poisoning; I had homemade turkey sausage this morning that in retrospect should have been tossed a couple days ago.

I think you need to do what you need to do to take care of yourself and feel better. If that means going off-road temporarily, so be it. Maybe wait until you feel better to start up again on the Whole30. Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks Chris and Tom... I ended up staying relatively on course; I ate a banana, water and a little chicken broth over the course of several hours while I slept, then an omelet this morning. I asked if they put anything like milk in the eggs and she said no, but then my ham and mushroom omelet came out with cheese on it *eyeroll*. I know the ham probably had sugar in it too but it sounded like something my stomach could handle this morning, so I just went with it. I ate around the cheese for the most part, but I know I probably ate some.

 

I'm just gonna try to take it as easy as I can, and not beat myself up about my choices, just make the best choices I can under the conditions.
