Shannon 'olson' Warlop
I thought I had read somewhere that you should not snack while doing the whole30. However, I have also read other posts with suggestions on snacks. I am confused, what is the rule on snacks. Not sure if this matter but I am doing the program to get helthy and try to lose my last few baby pounds, my husband to try and reduce allergy symptoms as well as lose some weight. Robin Strathdee
Hi Shannon! The ultimate goal is to get your three regular meals to the point where they fill you up and satisfy you until it's time for the next meal. But, for most people, that takes some experimenting with ingredients and portion sizes. Plus, some days, you just feel more hungry. That's where snacks come in. We don't want you to go hungry during your Whole30, but we do want you to think about when you're eating and why. Mindless snacking, therefore, is highly discouraged. Does that clear things up for you?
Shannon 'olson' Warlop
That helps, thank you. Today is day 2 and going pretty good. I normally try to have a large class of water before I have a snack anyway, that way it is easier to judge if you are actually hungry or not.
