anm54
I understand why the meats we eat should be "grass-fed" and how its better for us. At this point, I just can't afford these type of meats. Does this mean I am not being whole30 compliant?
Johnny M
Not at all. If grass-fed and pastured meats are out of your budgets, try to stick to leaner cuts of meat at your grocery store. Most of the benefit of grass-fed beef (and conversely the unhealthy stuff in factory farmed meats) is in the fats so just limit them in factory farmed meats and you're still good to go. Holly Beltran
Whatever grocery store you go to and you get meat that is not grass fed just make sure to cut the fat off. They say that is where a lot of the bad stuff is.
