dawnrowan
I did a 30 day challenge successfully in May but hit a plateau in June. I also started eating dairy and wine again, and think that might be the culprit. I decided to do research and found this Whole30. I am 50 lbs overweight and at 37 I need to gt healthy for myself and my family! I am gluten intolerant so this is a lifestyle, not a fad. I've lost 15 pounds since going gluten free. Here is to finally shedding this excess baggage!
pokee
I also started my whole30 on the 4th... happy independence from the sugar dragon! I'm starting to seriously crave choco desserts, which I remember from the first few weeks of my whole30 attempt in March. I made it through day 27 but was then hospitalized and had emergency lumbar surgery. Finally up and about enough to cook my own meals and to make a second go of it! tinman57
I had originally started on the 1st but had a day of doubt and self-loathing on the 3rd. It wasn't horribly off Whole30 but it was off. So I reset on the 4th (yesterday) and hopefully I can keep it going much better, now being a little more prepared for the doubt of the benefits. Far too many nay-sayers so I'm just going to shut up and, as they say in the book, "lead by quiet example". No one, NO ONE, needs to know that I'm choosing to avoid certain things. If they notice, fine. More likely no one will notice. My husband is used to my dietary special snowflakeness by now.
ellybet
I also started on the 4th. This is my first Whole30 and the first time I've ever given up dairy or grains. I've done sugar before, but this is obviously quite different! Things are going well so far - my food has been delicious and filling and I've only gotten one response from others of "but how can you survive without grains?!?" So we'll see how the rest goes!
