snailytrail
Hi everyone, I just wanted to wave hello. I'm starting my first Whole 30 tomorrow. I can't wait! I'm really nervous about what the first week is going to be like, but so excited too. I've spent so long trawling through all the posts here and can't believe the changes some people have made. So fingers crossed I'll get similar benefits Look forward to chatting with you all
angelajl
Good luck to you! I'm just a few days ahead of you. If you have the funds, I'd recommend signing up for the Whole30 Daily pep-talk e-mails. They've been very enjoyable and motivating!
3dayevent
Hello! I, too, am beginning the lifestyle change of Whole30 tomorrow. The bold step to pursue this definitely brings a bit of anxiety, but I think that it's just an indication that we're pursuing something worthwhile; we're pursuing excellence in health. Best wishes to you! I am so eager to read all of the positive feedback and see the results of the Whole30 members!!
snailytrail
Thanks! Good luck guys. I so enjoyed my meals 1 and 2 today. I've been living off low fat, high carb stuff for ages and feeling so deprived, and I couldn't believe how nice everything tasted. I'm just hoping it's been so long since I had any nice meat that I'm not going to feel deprived at all at any stage. I just wish I could put the next week on fast forward. I hear you on wanting to skip this week and get to the feeling better part! I'm starting today for the first time and just finished meal 1. Nice to know someone else is starting this today too. PaleoEmily
I'm starting today too! So far I've eaten a bit too much homemade mayonnaise - attacked the jar with a spoon it was so good! Good luck to everyone!
Mlynn
I started today as well but had a few mishaps. I am not counting this day as lost though. I have gradually, consistantly been gaining weight and I need to take back control!
Judy W
Hi I am JuJu and I am starting today. Looking forward to doing this with others achieving the same goals!
amberino21
i'm starting with my husband on Monday, so a few days behind we eat pretty well already, but I want to see how eliminating the few bits of dairy/grains/legumes etc we do eat effects us...and to see if we can "work" better! we've been used to tracking food quantities as well, so getting rid of this mind set will be interesting! nicolekukral
I started today too! I have been trying to live a Paleo lifestyle since last summer (did great for awhile--then got distracted and made some bad choices), so I decided to do Whole 30 to get myself back on track! Day 1 is in the books!
snailytrail
How are you guys all doing? I've been very, very tired today. It's been horrible. So just hiding in bed and hoping tomorrow will feel better! Still loving the food though.
Judy W
I am starting day 6 today. It is not so rough for me because I started cleaning up my eating and came off of over the counter sleep aids right after Memorial Day. So just gave up sugars and alternate breads (almond flour etc). Stick with it and it will even out!
nicolekukral
Feeling a little tired today, but otherwise ok! I can't believe how much this is really making me THINK about what I'm eating. It's a good thing.
Suzy1
Hi I am starting Day 3 of another Whole 30. Had nearly completed another one when I jumped on the forum relating to coconut aminos and found out that the brand I was using was a no no. Even though the amount I was using was minimal It still meant a re start as it is so important to be true to the Program to reap the benefits. Have now found Coconut Secret Aminos here in Australia which should be delivered any day now. Label reading is so important. Anyway, feeling great so for you newbies stay positive and focussed as the benefits are great. You will feel so in control of your food demons. amberino21
Suzy - what brand aminos were you originally using? We've got a bottle of Banaban brand that I bought in Aus, and I think it's compliant? Just wanted to check! I did an iherb order the other day and ordered some coconut secret aminos as they were cheaper
Suzy1
Hey Amberino, Niulife, coconut sugar and coconut syrup. Must have had a brain fade as I did not check the label assuming all was ok until I read the thread and found out otherwise. Found Coconut Secret aminos on eBay that comes from a store in South Oakleigh. Bit expensive as 2 bottles worked out at around $17 each with postage however this was a heap cheaper than having bottles sent from USA as the shipping charge was horrendous:)!!!! Haven't checked out your brand yet. Must get onto Iherb as it looks like a great site. Have an awesome day:) ps start of day 4 and after doing a few Whole 30's it is becoming a great habit however I love the daily emails and forum. Keeps me honest:) Sue

I put in a very "Whole 30" order in the other day for organic/pasture fed cow ghee, coconut flour, coconut aminos and coconut vinegar and coconut butter if you want a discount, use code BSB380 at the checkout! Suzy1
Thanks Amberino for the info. Have been looking for grass fed ghee etc. Onto Iherb now to order. Sue:)
irishtemple
How are you guys all doing? I've been very, very tired today. It's been horrible. So just hiding in bed and hoping tomorrow will feel better! Still loving the food though. I missed the forum the last few days and I was really tired the last couple of days too. Today is better, but I'm still having cravings, which always seem to hit in the afternoon for me. Right now I'm craving dark chocolate like nobody's business, so ate a couple of macadamia nuts while cooking Mexican ground turkey for dinner. How are you doing a couple of days later? Judy W
Suzy1 have you tried making your own. I made some Sunday that turned out really well. Try finding Kerrygold butter and make it yourself. Takes a little while but not hard. Day 7 and not too bad. Cooked a big pack of chicken thighs yesterday then made green beans and sweet potatoes. It was yummy but not si much after the third meal so looking for tuna and boiled egg tomorrow!
Suzy1
Hey Judy, No I haven't yet. If I can track down the butter will give it a go. Nom Nom Paleo has the instructions on her app. Your meal sounds great. My partner and I are no longer eating meat except for fish for ethical reasons and I am missing my favourite Nom Nom Paleo slow cooker chicken with gravy- compliant of course.). Feeling great however that is to be expected given that the only reason I restarted was due to the minimal amt of coconut aminos. Just received compliant aminos so am pretty happy about that:) Stay focussed and try the chicken recipe:) Sue
amberino21
suzy, I think that brand of butter may be American? we can get plenty of delicious organic pasture fed butter which would be suitable:) I bought clarified butter/ghee because I wasn't convinced i'd get all the milk solids out... Suzy1
Did some research and the Kerrygold is an Irish butter sold in the states but not here. Did the same thing as you Amberino and purchased ghee from Iherb, great site:)
Suzy1
Day 5 done. Two workouts today, Crossfit and Bar Method. Dinner now, very hungry. Been going like a machine today and sleeping well. Think the additional magnesium supplement helps. Hope everyone is going well:) Sue
amberino21
I was really energetic this morning - crashed this afternoon, as did G!! The bad thing is we can't collapse on the couch, a friend is coming for dinner! I've had a headache most of the afternoon - not sure if lunch didn't have enough carbs or fat perhaps?
