Week one in review

This is my second whole 30.... Thankfully cause after what I've experienced this week, I needed the prior knowledge of what happens around week 2-3 to help keep me going. Prior to starting my whole30 I had gotten a pretty bad upper respiratory infection, was on vacation (indulged in one too many "treats"), was only getting about 4-5 hours of sleep due to crazy work stress & hadn't crossfit in about two weeks due to vacay & illness. Last day of vacation I declared I was starting a whole30 cause I was tired of feeling like this. I needed to reset my body. My husband and a girl friend are doing it with me- first timers :) have even had about 3 people tell me they had never heard of the whole30 until seeing my FB post about it and are now interested.

Day 1 & 2 felt great. Funny thing is I woke up day 3 feeling like I'd been hit by a Mack truck and that was BEFORE I read my daily email! lol. But I knew this would pass & lessons learned this week were to ease back into my training schedule since I had been off & my body was adapting to a different fuel, eat more veggies, eat fewer nuts and I've made sleep a priority over everything. Yesterday was day 7 and I felt amazingly better.
