amberino21
Every morning we have lemon water, but we juice a whole lemon, skin and all - the pulp is filtered out. We sometimes add a chunk of ginger... Is this still ok? I have read of people drinking some ACV in water which I think has a similar purpose?
missmary
This sounds fine to me, as long as you aren't using it to replace a meal.
Dlynn918
Hi Amber! I read a lemon is a great way to start your day. Ive been doing it for a while, just pressed which allows pulp and oils to come out. Its packed with vitamin C too! I actually heard about doing this from a friend who takes care of a special needs adult who is very active, they hike a mountain in vermont daily! But he was gaining a ton of weight even though he eats a meticulous diet prepared for him by his care takers. His sister is in school for some kind of dietician work (not sure exactly) but she claims a lemon in the morning and fruit first before a meal (as in eat a bowl of fruit while your cooking dinner so its gives you time to start digesting it) will keep your body on track. They did this with her client, and he lost so much weight they had to buy him new pants. They changed nothing else. So yeah, safe to say Im on board with the lemon in the morning and the fruit first!!! I guess it has to do with the fermentation of the fruit if you eat it after a meal. Also, Braggs ACV saved me from a load of terrible medications of duadenal reflux. My midwife told me about it. Its good stuff! It even cures dandruff when used as a diluted rinse in the shower! Just dont use a ton, 1 tbs in a tall glass of water is fine. I like it with freshly shaved ginger. I was using stevia too, but non of that now! :-) ACV and ginger is so tastey!!! amberino21
Thanks, ladies! It's definitely not to replace a meal - more a digestive aid, and without stevia it's really not pleasant! We use a lot of ACV - love it as salad dressing with avocado
