CoreySue
I know snacking in between meals is frowned upon, however I'm constantly hungry. I'm on day 11 of my W30 and I can't seem to get enough to eat. I have a 3 week old and I am exclusively breast feeding her. I don't snack on anything that isn't W30 approved, but I am wondering if I should try to cut out the snacks all together or if my body is telling me its hungry because it is. Any other breast feeding moms have this issue?
msssjenna
no. i think it is recommended as a nursing mom you should snack, or add a 4th meal. try to have your snacks included protein and carbs. i commend you for doing this with a 3 week old. Bethany Lannon
You definitely need to snack and/or incorporate mini meals. My mini meals usually consisted of a HB egg or two, half a bell pepper and a 100cal WhollyGuacamole, the HB egg, some form of raw veggies and cashews. HealthyForPNG
What do your breakfasts look like? I was *super* hungry in-between meals until I started making sure my breakfasts were nice and big, and preferably that they also include a plantain or sweet potato. I often have a sweet potato at lunch too. It has made a big difference! But even so, I do occasionally need a mini-meal, or even a full fourth meal I just try not to graze randomly. AmyS
Eat up! Four or five meals is fine. Some may be mini and some maxi. But eat up.
(m)eat to live
To me, "snacking" is mindless eating. If you're hungry, it's not mindless! Eat!
