pokee
I was out to lunch at a Vietnamese restaurant with coworkers today (Day 7) and thought I was getting something compliant (grilled beef on a green salad with onions). However, I ended up being served my pile of beef sitting in a thick brown sauce of unnatural sweet/salty intensity... unfortunately I was too bashful to send it back (also a little too hungry) I am now sitting with a tingling tongue and the headache/sleepiness that I usually get after MSG and wondering if this is just a lesson in how not to eat (probably I should avoid chinatown entirely) or if I ought to restart the program. I tried to search the forums but "MSG" is too short of a word to search with. Thoughts?
Jinkse21
MSG is restricted.
Moderators Tom Denham Posted July 11, 2013 Moderators Share Posted July 11, 2013 The Whole30 guidelines specifically warn that MSG is too nasty to tolerate. Eating MSG means you need to start over.
pokee
Yes I don't tolerate it well and have always tried to avoid it. Restarting, thanks!
