DJC
I've been totally disinterested and my wife has been nudging for the past year. Weigh 350, discouraged and so, so tired of thinking of 'another diet approach' whatever it is... Until I read "It begins with Food" Something just clicked and made sense to me. I'm on day four today and the hardest part has been eliminating my morning coffee with creme and two splenda. But all is going remarkably well. I can tell a huge difference in the reduction of swelling and bloating. I'm not hungry at all as I eat when hungry, but the first day was totally tough with regard to cravings. I so desired salt and carbs!! Seems to have passed and had my first black coffee yesterday, which surprisingly was fine. I'm very encouraged and have a sense of peace in just settling into this. I realize I have just begun, but am very aware my mental perspective of this is remarkably different from the host of other things I have 'tried' before. Onward... Physibeth
Welcome DJ! You are doing the right thing for your health! Make sure you are adding enough salt to your food as cutting processed foods out completely will make your sodium intake drop ridiculously. So add a little sea salt to your foods to taste and enjoy it! Keep up the great work! The first week is the hardest!
