Headache, nauseous, general "blah" feeling

Recommended Posts

Hi

I'm going in to day 7 - spent most of day 6 with a headache, feeling nauseous, and very tired....at 3:30am the headache is still there..

I have been eating pretty well - heaps of food...although perhaps not enough starchy carbs or fat? I didn't feel like any of the fruit I had planned to eat with meal 2 or 3 yesterday, which is really not normal, breakfast had a couple of pieces of butternut pumpkin (squash), as did lunch, and a handful of sweet potato with dinner.

There were plenty of other veggies...

Lunch I thought had enough fat - mayo dressing on lunch...dinner was probably light on in terms of fat, but I felt awful way before that, and couldn't bare to eat more!

Any clues, or hints to make this go away? Hoping i can try to add something at breakfast.

Thanks!

I'm feeling the same, on day six! I'm also breast feeding and having a hard time, really not sure I can keep going. I already eat really healthy for the most part I just have some digestive issues so I was hoping this would help, but I feel so weak. I'm definatley eating enough but I'm just exhausted and tired!!!

Yesterday I also had the same questions about continuing! I feel a lot better today, fingers crossed the headache doesn't decide to come back.

I can imagine its a lot harder for you to cope with the changes whilst looking after your bub and feeding. I'm really enjoying the food, and not being so regimented with weighing/recording everything, as well as not always thinking about food, so going to continue....I feel generally less bloated, and my skin is improving so hoping this "blah" stage passes.

Hey Amberino,

Having read through the book on the weekend (and am sure it is on the site as well somewhere) it does say to expect headaches, lethargy and crankiness in the first week and also digestive distress in the second week as part of the natural healing process of the body. Also, given you are a body builder, maybe some weakness in the training side of things. I'd say hang in there and listen to your body, if you feel you're lacking fats and/or starchy carbs (and I'd say you be in touch enough with your own body and training schedule enough to 'hear' your body) then build those amounts up. Stay strong!!
