3rd Attempt at Round 3 ... Three's the Charm, right?

Hi all,

 

I'm writing this while sitting in a hotel in Arlington, VA (I'm at a workshop all week in D.C.). An hour or so ago, I finished off a turkey-avocado sandwich, with french fries, and a Twix bar. It was self-destructive;  my self-esteem has been at an all-time low, so I suppose I'm manifesting that inner ickiness (self-loathing), with outer ickiness (let's see how much fatty food I can fit into my stomach?!).

 

Long story short, my 3rd Whole30 begins next Monday, July 22. This will be the 3rd time I've attempted Round 3; the most recent time, I had to quit at day 14, because I got sick and desperately wanted a bowl of soup and had no time (or energy) to make it Whole30 compliant.

 

Round 3 will actually be a Whole45; I need the discipline and the sacrifice. I need to focus on the food I'm eating, instead of the food I'm missing. And I want to spend the 45 days sweating in the gym too (I have a new trainer who is awesome!), and learning more about lifting weights. In my biggest fantasy, I'd love to do a fitness competition; underneath my 5'6", 185 lb frame, there is an inner athlete who has some serious potential. I'd like to spend the next 45 days seeing what I can do.

Yeah!  I love this! I like your gym goals in addition to your eating goals!  I'm also doing a challenge along with Whole30. CrossFit 4x per week, and hot yoga every single day for 30 days!  I've been doing yoga for 7 years but I've never gone 30 days straight so this will be a first.  Excited to read your progress!
