Sakrima
I did search for these two items: lingonberries and reindeer meat. Are they ok? It is quite common to eat these here in Finland, so this question is important to me. It is not yet time to go to the forest to pick fresh wild lingonberries, but I have some frozen left. Please help me - I'm starting the Whole30 tomorrow.
GFChris
I don't see why not. From what I've googled on reindeer meat, it sounds like it's a pretty lean, high protein meat. On the lingonberries (assuming they're fresh and not dried), treat them like any other fruit on the Whole30: limit fruit servings to 1-2 per day (a serving is the size of your fist) and have them as part of or immediately after a meal. Boykinbaby
never had lingonberries but I Love Reindeer/Carabou! I would think both are perfectly acceptable as long as the seasoning in the meat is compliant.

amberino21
Wow! I love hearing about other people's food from around the world...reindeer isn't something we'd get here! I have seen lingonberry jam in ikea I think, but never seen a 'real' one
