norCAgal
Hi, it's my first time doing Whole30 challenge - and...I...am...struggling!! ughI've had 7 successful days, but find myself very irritable today, and wanting sugar so bad that I dreamed of myself at Disneyland - chasing down small children and stealing all their treats!! lol I could use any words of encouragement you guys might have! THANKS so much! I also attached my breakfast. It's a kale, asparagus, and bellpepper quiche I made, with homemade pico de gallo and avocado. At least I'm enjoying all the new cooking I've been doing
Roz Griffiths
If it makes you feel any better, what you're feeling is perfectly normal & it will pass! Your brain has suddenly realised you might actually be serious about this quitting sugar thing & it's making its objections clear
norCAgal
Thanks Roz - yes, it does help. I think I do need that constant reminder that this will pass, and I will feel better soon!

canuck gal
I have just finished my first Whole 30 a couple of weeks ago and still going. Actually a bit of off roading on my birthday, but that was it. I have a huge sweet tooth. I can tell you it does pass and that is best thing that came out of this for me. I don't crave sweets and it is such a relief. Even when there are sweets at the office, it is not an issue to pass them up, I feel so good that having that "treat" is just not worth it and I can say no. The crankiness will too pass. It wasn't until my 3rd week that I realized all the changes. Stick with it. It takes time, more for some than others. You will be proud of yourself and will be surprised at all the benefits besides just stopping the sugar cravings.
Bet
Thanks for the timeline. It's almost exactly how I've been feeling. I was already grain/sugar free before I started but am doing the AI Protocol. I felt great last week, lousy this week. I hope I can make it to next week.
