Boykinbaby
So, maybe i'm wierd, but am I the only person who loves the slightly slimey texture that okra has? Just tossing them in oil and oven roasting them, or sauteeing...yum!

jubileejones
You're not alone. I have loved okra since I was little. I used to make my mom cook it as slimy as possible. It's one of the veggies that I'm so glad I rediscovered during my June W30.
ready4chg
Okra is probably my all time favorite veggie. I eat it pretty much anyway you give it to me. I don't really love it pickled, but I can handle it. My mom just visited me a few days ago. She brought fresh okra. She made fried okra, pan fried okra, and she left some for me to boil. Think that's on the dinner menu. Thanks :-). YUMMMMM!!
MonicaM325
I have never tried fresh okra but have a bag of frozen okra waiting to be used. Any suggestions in how to cook it??

Anadarko
Throw some in any stew. Wonderful! I love a handful in an omelet, as well.
Bethany Lannon
Just got some okra yesterday, fresh from our church's garden.... Chocolate chili is on the menu for dinner tonight --- I'm new with okra, but could it potentially be a good addition to the chocolate chili? Or would the flavors clash too much?
