GFChris
Kelly, if you find a good recipe for the Kombucha, please share. I have been researching but haven't found what looks do-able yet. ~pam I know nothing about making kombucha...so perhaps someone else can chime in...but I just now googled "kombucha made easy" and this video came up.... http://www.instructables.com/id/Kombucha-Brewing-Made-Easy/ No idea how you add favors...I guess you make the basic tea and then add mango puree or pressed ginger or whatever.... Kelly There is a HUGE thread in the Recipe Sharing section of the forum for folks who want to home-brew kombucha: http://forum.whole9life.com/topic/10419-kombucha-makers-unite-where-to-ask-and-be-answered/
pam21e
Is there an official thread for the August 1 Whole 30? ~pam
Mrsfrosty
Pam: I did not see one yesterday...I just saw the Whole9 blog post that there is a link to the Crossfit group in Missouri that is sponsoring it....so I went there and put in my email to keep up with that blog...they say they will have 30 days of resources, etc. for August Whole 30 and a local gathering for folks in their area. Also, someone mentioned going to the Whole 9/30 Facebook page and "like" so I did that as well and yesterday it said to post there, on the Crossfit group and in the forums. Seems a little crazy to me. I 'm not sure where to go/what to do! Let me know what you decide so we can do it together! Kel
GFChris
Is there an official thread for the August 1 Whole 30? ~pam There is no official August thread in the forum. The Whole9 folks are just making a lot more resources available to do a Whole30 this month: this article from yesterday is one example: http://whole9life.com/2013/07/whole30-meal-plans/ So, proceed as you did when you went through the Whole30 process in June - good luck! Thanks for the link and the info. I just now posted on the Whole9/30 FB page...and I read the Naked Plate/Crossfit Blog....but for me, I think I need to join one of the August Whole 30 LOG groups.....so I can post my food, my questions, my challenges, etc.

yomix
@ yomix.....would you post how to make Kombucha? I buy it now, but would like to know how to make it. ~pam Hi Pam, There are many resources out there, like Bethany said, the thread called "Kombucha Makers Unite" has plenty of resources. I personally followed the instructions posted here: http://www.foodrenegade.com/how-to-brew-kombucha-double-fermentation-method/ There are links on that webpage that explain how to make you first mother or SCOBY. It is actually pretty easy to make. Hope this helps & good luck!
