ferricderric
Hi all, Relatively simple question - I was hungry today after coming back from the butcher shop, and stupidly cooked something like 1.5 pounds of lamb with mushrooms and then ate it all. As someone who has IBS and MS, I am not happy with myself about this, and my left flank is definitely letting me know what a stupid decision that was. Is eating this much meat at once a reason to restart the whole30 (I highly doubt it's grassfed, but at the moment I have no access to grassfed meat. Thankfully that changes next week), or is it more of a "you made a minor screwup but it's ok keep going" type thing? I'm currently on Day 8. Also, I woke up this morning feeling like I'd gotten hit by a truck. After eating some cherries and my excessive meal, it got a little better. I think it was the low carb flu. Does this happen to many people on the Whole30? Thanks!
Physibeth
I wouldn't think it is a reason to restart but you might want to do some soul searching about why you ate it all. Have you been over-restricting yourself? As for grass fed...it probably was actually. Lamb isn't a normal cash crop. I've personally never come across lamb that wasn't grass fed. I could be wrong but that has been the impression I've gotten from lots of sources.
ferricderric
Thanks for the reply! I honestly think the main reason I ate so much was because I just happened to cook that much and I was hungry at the time (and feeling too lazy to make my kale shake). I'm definitely going to eat my appropriate amount of fruit and veggies later in the day. And make some bone broth. Hopefully I'm finally successful with that Have a good one! Physibeth
What is this kale shake you speak of? Drinking your food is not advised on a Whole30 for a bunch of reasons that range from physical to psychological.
