raw liver

hi there! I recently have discovered the magic health benefits of liver.....I've been cooking it, but my friend eats it RAW and swears by it being more beneficial this way. she says Melissa and Dallas even eat it this way.....hmmmmmm, I'm becoming more convinced to try it. from the research I've done, it appears to be safe as long as you have a good grass fed source and you freeze it for two weeks to kill any parasites. I'm a little nervous to eat it raw still...anyone have any experience with this? looking for some reassurance :-D

There is an enthusiastic group of raw foodists who swear everything is better for you uncooked. I'm not convinced. I agree that liver is important - I eat it once per week - but I like mine simmered about 12 minutes with onions, tomatoes, and peppers.
