Day 29 and not feeling the magic

Hello, I'm new to the forum.  I'm on Day 29 of my first W30 and I'm proud to say that I have done this program completely as prescribed.  No slip-ups, no accidents, no cheats.  I suppose that is my one success story, because I wasn't certain I'd be able to give up sugar, among other things.  That said, I'm frustrated that I haven't felt any of the much-hyped "magic."  I haven't weighed myself, and won't for two more days, but I doubt I've lost much of anything because I feel NO difference in my clothing.  I know you're not supposed to do a W30 for weight loss, but that was a motivating factor (THE motivating factor) for me, because I'm pretty healthy otherwise.  It would have been nice to experience the other changes that people mention, like increased energy, good mood, stronger nails, smoother skin...but that hasn't happened either.  I'm not sure what to do next and could use some words of encouragement.

Great that you've made it to day 29 and stayed so compliant! Staying off sugar that long is huge, so that is a great accomplishment!

Many people do a Whole30 and never get the tiger blood feeling.

What you would do next after your Whole 30 (and you weigh/measure) is reintroduction.  Reintroduce the food groups, one at a time, that you may want to have again at some point in the future, to see if/how your body reacts.

Armed with that information, then you decide how you want to eat from this point forward.

You could also post a sample food log for 2-3 days for folks to give you feedback on what you've been eating, and see if they have any suggested changes that could impact your results.

I think many of the health benefits are hard to pin point - especially if you we're already pretty healthy to start off with! My husband and I notice that we've felt more calm and sleep better (a lot!) but can't notice huge changes in other areas. We are enjoying the step away from calorie counting and weighing/measuring everything - there has been definite weight lifted in that regard. I expect skin issues (I have a few) to take longer to see benefits, and suspect that dairy or grains are part of my problem.

In terms of weight - were you at a healthy weight to start off with? Have you noticed less bloating?

Perhaps you'll notice on reintro that certain foods cause you to react negatively?

I suppose - thank you for your responses.  Unfortunately, I'm not at my ideal weight.  2 years ago, I had lost a little over 30 lbs. which put me where I was supposed to be.  I went on an anti-depressant for a year, and despite maintaining my healthy eating and exercise, I regained the 30 lbs.  So that's what I'm trying to lose (I'm off the meds now), and it's hard, because the way I lost it is 2 years ago was strict caloric limitation (1200 a day, with everything weighed/measured -- a real pain).  I was hoping to find a way to re-lose the weight without having to return to that regime.
