LEllis
Started Whole30 yesterday and I think I over did it on the meat. I really don't like meat and don't eat it that often. Each serving was only about my palm size, as recommended. So now it's only day two and I feel absolutely awful! Headache, foggy, tired, bad nausea...I can't eve bear to eat a thing this morning. My normal diet is overall "healthy" and light. I don't think the carb flu would be setting in after only one day so I think it would be related to the meat. How can I continue like this?! Is it ok to cut way back on my meat servings? Any thoughts/advice greatly appreciated!
Renee Lee
we'd rather you not go lower than the lowest recommendations, because then you get into the danger of undereating. It could also be a coincidence and you're just coming down with a cold or something. Hang in there, maybe vary the type of meats you're eating? (It could definitely be a carb flu if you were carb heavy to not a lot in one day, btw)
amberino21
did you eat enough of everything else? I found myself headachey and brain foggy when I didn't eat enough carbs..
Ravin
If meat doesn't sound good, try eating more fish.
Megan Claydon
carb flu can definitely start to take its toll by within the first few days. Stay the course and in a few days you should see the switch
LEllis
Thanks everyone. I feel like I am eating enough veggies. I picked up some of the NOW Super Enzymes and those seemed to help with dinner last night, although I did have lots of sharp pains (not the nausea though) in my stomach through the night. Sticking with it and I'll definitely focus more on incorporating eggs and fish. Maybe I'll get the hardest part out of the way early:)
