KJT 27
These two recipes from Melissa Joulwan (Well Fed) are great: http://www.theclothesmakethegirl.com/2012/11/05/silky-gingered-zucchini-soup/ http://www.theclothesmakethegirl.com/2012/10/24/golden-cauliflower-soup/ You do have to add a protein, though. I like to throw whatever meat I have leftover into the bowl of soup, stick it in the microwave, and in two minutes I have my breakfast!
Colleen Roy 407
I love soup for breakfast. It's fast and easy and full of yummy vegetables and protein. I always portion out leftovers after I make a batch and have them handy for any meal!
Boykinbaby 66
you can make an easy egg drop soup, just scramble an egg(s) and pour into already hot broth. add what ever veggies you want before hand and cook till done. that's it!

srice11 42
I second the recommendation for Well Fed's cauliflower soup. Add some cup up chicken thighs to it and you've got yourself a damn fine meal.
BeautifulMonster 81
I like NomNom Paleo's Curried Cream of Broccoli Soup. It's really simple, freezes well, and you can sub out the veggies. I've used cauliflower, squash, green beans, whatever I ahve lying around in different combinations.
Miriam 70
I'm planning on making the Cream of Broccoli soup today - I got a ton of broccoli yesterday and I don't want it to go bad - still adjusting to the empty nest when I shop. I was thinking it would be good with some grilled meat, otherwise it doesn't seem like enough protein for bfast... or maybe some HB eggs? Mmmm...
Kirsteen 2124
Whenever I cook a whole chicken, I pull the meat off the bones and freeze in single portion sizes. I do the same with joints of meat. That way, whenever I'm having a soup that's low in protein, I just pull out a packet and add it to it. I've also been known to thaw a handful of cooked prawns and just throw them in my bowl and pour the soup over them.
