I am starting my first whole30 today. I have been toying with the idea for over 2 weeks now, and have decided that it is now or never. I am doing it mainly to fix my very dysfunctional bordering on obsessive relationship with food, and to prove myself I can do this. I have been struggling with minor weight loss, minor acne, major depression, major lack of energy, major anxiety and MAJOR digestive upset. I am very hopeful, although I am not sure quite what to expect. I'm terrified of failure but like I stated before, it is now or never. Wish me luck! (a.k.a willpower/determination)

hi,

I too have started today.  Well today is practically over as it's 6pm here (and I just got my day 1 email).

I'm using whole30 as a good kickstart.  I was (well I thought) eating pretty well.  Minimal grains, but diary.  Cheese and  yoghurt are going to be hard ones to give up, but I can do this.

So good luck Nam, we'll rock it.

Good luck to you both!  I finished a Whole30 in June and it did help me "fix" my dysfunctional food relationship...still 98% Whole30 based, with only an increase in fruit (quasi-desserts) and still no dairy, grains, etc.  Truly found it effective in breaking the sweetness reliance and extreme hunger cycle of calorie deprivation!  Way more stable and healthy in my food relationships!

Hang in there and you will rock it!

I'm so excited to be starting my second Whole30 with all of you!  wooo hooo we can do this!  Had great success this past March and April and although had some fun in the last few months, never went back to grains, anything white really.  I do love my cheese though, will miss that again but oh well... The benefits far outweigh any moment of satisfaction I get from eating that.  Looking forward to the great sleep again!  Hoping the first few days go a bit more smooth since I know what to expect with my "carb detox".  Here we go!   Best of luck, stay strong!!!!!!!!! :D

when it comes to activity I have no problems with that.  As I'm a runner, and do strength training regularly, and do yoga and pilates as well.

Just going to take each step as it comes.

I have modified a fav recipe of mine to be paleo, and I can't wait to have it tomorrow for breakfast, I taste tested as I was making it and I'm excited.
