FrancescaSky
Hi Everyone, My name is Skyra, but I love my middle name Francesca, so that's what I prefer to be called and this is my first day on the Whole30! I am excited, nervous, anxious, and scared all at the same time. Who knew one person could experience so many emotions, whew!! lol! I am also going on month two of insanity beginning Monday as I am currently on recovery week. I am looking for a fresh new perspective on healthy eating and being good to my body, you only get one right?! I am a recent college grad, Navy vet, and a single mother so money is tight for groceries. I am wondering if it will even be possible to eat Whole30 compliant on my measly budget, but i'm sure you wonderful people have many great suggestions and alternatives for me. I am happy to join this forum, I expect to meet many amazing mentors on this journey and I looking forward to a healthier, happier lifestyle change in the process! Happy 1st of the month guys, and here's to success!
shelley417
Suggestion: 1 whole chicken, I/2 lb chopped meat, 2 dozen eggs, 6 sweet potatoes, big bag of greens ( collard or spinach not too expensive) and the largest can of organic cold pressed coconut oil or the largest bottle of olive oil you can afford. Don't sweat grass fed or organic meat for now if you cannot afford it. You can make it a week on this. Check forum and blogs for simple recipes using those ingredients and some spices. Roz Griffiths
Ground meat is often inexpensive - either saute some with an onion for quick reheating (with veg or with eggs for breakfast!), or make it into sausage with some seasonings. Google is your friend with recipes :-)
shelley417
You can follow my Pinterest Paleo boards. Just know I collect Paleo desserts there and I have never made one!!! Hahaha!
