Teriza
So stubborn me decided that if I couldn't have my double espresso with my cream and sweetener then I was just going to go with out. By 11:00 I was popping my first extra strength Tylenol. It 6:30PM I still haven't caved but oh how the head hurts. The pain of addictions . sunnymama
Caffeine withdrawal is sucktacular. Would drinking black coffee or tea be a trigger for you, make you want the cream & sweetener?
amberino21
I haven't had coffee for nearly 3 days....the only thing stopping me from hAving one is the lack of any withdrawal symptoms. That sounds a bit silly, doesn't it?!?
Iron Fireling
Bizarrely I have had no caffeine withdrawal.... Particularly strange as I usually get it really badly... And I'd been having a few cups a day prior to starting! Maybe I've quit coffee enough times that my body has finally decided not to cause me pain. Bet
I stopped drinking caffeinated coffee once and it was horrible. I thought I had a brain tumor. I don't drink that much now, mostly tea. But I've had coffee with coconut milk in it and it's not bad. It isn't cream, but it takes the bitterness out of the coffee. Try it.
Teriza
Caffeine withdrawal is sucktacular. Would drinking black coffee or tea be a trigger for you, make you want the cream & sweetener? I don't like the bitter taste of coffee. I am addicted to the sweet foo-foo coffee (doesn't help that I have TWO Starbucks baristas in the house- lol ). So though I could put coconut milk in it would not be sweet. I am not big on other sweets like cookies and such just candied coffee.
sunnymama
Have you tried Crio Bru (it's smashed up cocoa beans)? You brew it in the same manner as coffee. And half organic coffee/half CB is delicious! Plainis taste like a weak cup of hot chocolate only smoother, better. I have a monstrous sugar dragon but Crio Bru has not made me crave chocolate but I do love the way it smells and tastes. Not trying to be a caffeine pusher just alternatives I am slowly learning about. .
mrsholden9977
I gave up my Diet Dr Pepper - that is my (4) 20 oz Diet Dr Peppers per day. It's been okay because I've been satisfying my carbonated craving with La Croix sparkling water. And I popped half a Vivarin when I started feeling the headache coming. (I have nothing against caffeine). I'm going to start trying coffee black - so far I've brewed two cups and can only stand to smell it. The kicker is that I'm obsessed with my breath and I used to chew gum after I drank my coffee. Now I'm worried I'll have stale coffee breath all day because I can't chew on my gum. Luckily, this is my biggest problem with the Whole30 program so far. Potential coffee breath!

I put the can of coconut milk in the refrigerator tonight to take the cream from it tomorrow.
Bet
I found a great clove and cinnamon toothpaste and rinse that will clean your mouth of any taste. I have it at work so I can clean my mouth after lunch. I also used to be a big gum chewer, but have found that since stopping gum (I did this prior to doing W30), I didn't get the feeling that I was 'digesting' all the time.
